why is every nested loop going from 0 to n/2-1 ? In my opinion for even phase it should start from index 1 and for odd phase it should start from index 0 . And I think it should terminate at (n-1)/2.

(n-1)/2 only works for even numbers such as 8. When working with odd number (n-1)/2 gives one extra input size value hence not feasible.

array should start with zero. It doesn't change anything but arrays should always start with zero. Love your work. Keep it up.
