I disagree with this massively. Conceieding to the fact theres unhappiness in the world to a kid is only going to make them feel its normal in everyday life. Kids should grow up with as many joyful thoughts as possible for the best chance of them having a positive outlook on life. Then if they change their mind at aged 18, then at least you did your part
