I agree my mom told me at 12 when I die I’m going out like a lightning storm/lightning strikes. Once she had passed the hospital night lights started flickering and then they went around in circles, round and round, round and round. The charge nurse was standing there, and she had to sit down. Her eyes grew big and asked can I please leave.? I told her no you’re the charge nurse you’re supposed to stay here until we pick my mom up. This woman turned why does a ghost. The lights slow down then my son and my brother walk in the door and all the sudden they started flickering around the room again both of my son and brother saw this asking what is wrong with your electric? I told them it’s mama at the age of 12 as I said she told me this was gonna happen. My mother passed away on this day, August 27 she was 85 years old, so I’ve known that all those years next I turn the radio on and this song comes on when you read the lyrics and think about what words I’ve said, then it all makes sense I understand why songs are made I’ve written a few myself. I just wanted to share this.

I got out of a 4 year abusive relationship 2 years ago and I suffer from complex ptsd, Anxiety, depression and for a long time I was numb to emotions, I didn’t want to feel anything because when I did it was always sad until I heard this song, it makes me feel some type of way I can’t explain. I just lay on the grass in my garden and listen to this, looking at the clouds, wind in my hair, sometimes I cry, sometimes I laugh, it touches my soul and I feel at peace

Interesting lyrics. Song represents the two versions of Stevie. Both the pre-Fleetwood Mac version (the gypsy) and Nicks after joining FM in 1975. The Gypsy also represents the idealised romantic image of her that Buckingham had forged before their relationship began to crumble after joining. When Stevie joined the band she was no longer part of the itinerant Buckingham/Nicks duo that waited tables and scraped together living expenses on the fly. She now had a lot more empowerment and freedom. Stevie moved on from the relationship but Lindsey wouldn't let go of it for a long time even when they dated other people. I know this is all personal stuff but it's out there. At least you know with Fleetwood Mac songs you are treated to lyrics that are usually authentic and from the heart.

Nostalgic. It takes me back to when my dad wound blare this on the radio. The good old days!!!
Interesting lyrics. Song represents the two versions of Stevie. Both the pre-Fleetwood Mac version (the gypsy) and Nicks after joining FM in 1975. The Gypsy also represents the idealised romantic image of her that Buckingham had forged before their relationship began to crumble after joining. When Stevie joined the band she was no longer part of the itinerant Buckingham/Nicks duo that waited tables and scraped together living expenses on the fly. She now had a lot more empowerment and freedom. Stevie moved on from the relationship but Lindsey wouldn't let go of it for a long time even when they dated other people. I know this is all personal stuff but it's out there. At least you know with Fleetwood Mac songs you are treated to lyrics that are usually authentic and from the heart.
