Greetings from Scotland! No, it's not exactly a "singing show" per se. This was 15yo Diana singing in an amazing Russian *project* called "You're Super" for abandoned/disadvantaged children because Diana spent some years in an orphanage when she was 3yo. This show gives these children a chance to show their singing talents and maybe get a start on the ladder.
You probably already know the rest, but you need to understand some of what Diana can do quite naturally, it will explain some of the questions you had during this reaction.
Diana is a *"Dramatic Contralto"* Extremely rare, the deepest, darkest, and most powerful contralto voice in female singers. Diana also has an added ability to naturally produce *"Polyphonic Overtones"*, a singing technique in which the vocalist manipulates the resonances of the vocal tract to produce an effect of more than one voice appearing to occur. This can take a LOT of practise to produce, but for Diana it just happens naturally!
Now a tiny bit about her backstory:-
Diana was born way over in the far eastern side of Russia in Primorsky Territory, northeast of Vladivostok. Her adoptive family moved to Togliatti, in western Russia near the Volga River then after Igor Krutoy (a famous (DIMASH?) composer/producer) gifted Diana an apartment in Moscow she moved there and still lives there! It made it easier for her to study at GITIS International, the largest and oldest theatrical State Institution in Russia from which she has now graduated. She has an extensive entry in Wikipedia now which explains her sad but very inspirational early childhood.
She is now 21yo and she has already sung in Diana has already sung in *10 languages, Russian, English, French, Spanish, German, Ukrainian, Tatar, Tajik, Arabic and "Bulgarian-style"!!! (Unofficially she has also sung in an alien language "Chakobsa" from the film "DUNE")*

This is actually a showcase/project for orphans and disadvantaged children called, "You Are Super". Diana was an orphan unfortunately (you can find her bio on Wikipedia). It's highly likely you would have never heard of her if not for this show. I'm sure you are not surprised she won. Diana is simply magical. Enjoyed it...but try not to dwell on the negativity. She's an amazing young girl and is totally independent of producers and the big music industry. She's declined to sign many contracts so she can control her own content and direction.
Just because I have my own opinion on something does not make it negative. If you don’t agree with my opinion, that’s not negative either. The point of a reaction is to express an honest opinion. Diana is incomparable as I say at the end of the video but this type of show takes away from her performance. I think that’s a fair assessment 😀 thanks for watching👍🏼

She was 18 years old when she performed Can't Help Falling in Love in the ShowMaskGoOn "singing show". How often does a 15 year old girl get to sing on television without being on a talent show?
I’m not sure how many have had that opportunity, probably quite a lot though I would imagine. Fair point though😂
Singing shows is the only place where a lot of artists get a chance to do something they would never do otherwise, or even get introduced to a wide public. So there's that :-)
This particular rendition of a song has an interesting story behind it. They had to put a spin on the words, reframe it, in order to explain the meaning of a song to a 15 y.o. Diana. Here, she is the Mother Earth talking to Humanity :-)

You seem to be a bit off the mark with the singing shows. This show, which Diana won two years in a row, was a major contributor to her global fame. Its approach is also a very special contest for children and young people who have been disadvantaged by life in the past. When you deal with great artists, it's good to also look into the background. Sometimes a whole new world opens up to you.

This is not a pirated version. If there was this video on Diana’s channel, then the videos could be called pirated. The original video was on the NTV channel, but due to sanctions, the Russian NTV channel was closed; on this channel, Diana’s performances collected about 500 million views. TH-cam itself essentially acted like a pirate, robbing Diana.

DIANA competed on a talented show for disadvantaged children “YOU ARE SUPER”. She attempted to audition on the VOICE RUSSIA but no one turned around ..I believe she got 6 million views and people were upset that she didn’t get one judge to turn around. She has a few on a ship at fourteen years old “FEELING GOOD”…I believe it’s a tourism ship. It’s AMAZING. She is a one in a billion CONTRALTO. I love her original song “CLOSEST SOUL” it has a sand painting artist who shows her journey from an orphanage to her present forever mom finding her. She had a speech impediment at that 3 years of age and her pediatrician recommended voice lessons to her mother to help her speak correctly.

@@Sam_TB there is plenty without the shows but if you don't watch the shows you will be missing so much. Especially her development at 14 and 15. The shows from Russia are real productions, they really go all out and if you would just ignore the buttons the judges actually have some really good comments about Diana. Her entire story and career is really fascinating!!!
Kind of a weird reaction for me.
Overall, the reaction leaves a negativity that doesn't do justice to Diana's performance and talent.
The frequent moaning about singing shows and claiming that you just want to hear her sing, only to often interrupt the song at random points and then make negative comments about singing shows is quite contradictory in my opinion.
And saying that Diana is brilliant and incomparable and really good is not enough for me to make up for the negative impression and emotions I get in the reaction beforehand. Too bad.
Maybe next time your reaction to Diana will evoke more positive emotions in me. I'll try again.

I don't think I know of any other reactions from his channel. I almost only watch reactions to Diana videos.
For me it is of course right that reactions should be honest, but you could also do it in a way that doesn't create such negative vibes as was the case here.
At least for me.
No matter how other singers are touted on the Internet, the one person who really stands out from the masses of singers is Diana Ankudinova. She has taken the whole music world to a completely new level, far far away from all other artists💫❤👍

You're right in that watching artists perform predominantly in singing competitions is another thing. But, unfortunately, Diana does not have a good producer and, as far as I know, no permanent contract with any label. So she has to do a lot of solo concerts and perform on a lot of TV shows. On the other hand, these shows employ professionals who make impressive compositions out of each of her performances. If it wasn't for these shows, we might not have known about her.
you are confusing something, this is not a show you bought a ticket for, this is not a show for spectators at all. if there is a small audience, it is to make the test for those who compete even more difficult. then they made a TV show out of it, but it is still a competition first and foremost. in fact, what you see is a selection of the best and most promising children for further education. This competition is held every year, and many of the children really get the opportunity to continue their musical education for free. As a result of this competition, which Diana won, she was given an apartment in Moscow (!), and she and her family moved from the provinces to Moscow for further free education. Diana entered the best Russian College of Theater Arts. and, it seems, Miss D graduates from it soon.
IMHO You are wrong about the show - it is thanks to them that such talents get a chance to become famous. And just imagine how many cool professionals made Diana's performance so great. These are artists, costume designers, and horticulturists, and sound engineers, lighting engineers... all this is only thanks to the show. So you can tolerate pressing 4 buttons if thanks to them the stars light up.

I've noticed that people who speak Russian as a first language are very casual as to whether they use all the necessary words. She did something similar in "Can't Help Falling in Love."
That unusual thing she does with her voice is something many, many singers can do, they just choose not to. For me it's hard to control, so I don't do it.
