A little tip for "Gripped!" mission. The beginning is the hardest part in this mission. If you pass it clear you will finish the whole mission with no problem. DON'T USE HANDBRAKE when you are falling down from hills. If you need to stop your falling, use only reverse/brake or acceleration and this will help you to stand on vertical sides.

The patriot missions caused me nightmares in the og game and didn't do it but I wanna be king of liberty city and I gotta say after your video and finding a good route knowing when to break and when to accelarate it got alot easier.
Multistorey Mayhem was the easiest for me. The hardest for me was Patriot Playground. Even when I was younger, those were my easiest and hardest off-road challenges.

On the original ps2, I swear I remember causing a glitch for Gripped! where the timer would not count down. I would just stay frozn on 15 seconds. I don't remember how I did it, but because of the glitch I was able to get 100% back before I had internet access.
Rockstar boasts the Definitive Edition with checkpoints. But of all things, the checkpoints challenges don't have this function. The 4th mission in particular is tricky, I have no idea why it started raining several times in the middle. The controller would actually be junk, but I'll face the shit. God what an awful idea for a set of missions. Make the player drive on uneven terrain with vehicles that easily tip over, and explode once they do. Oh and to top it all off give the a strict time limit where one mistake can fail the whole mission. GREAT GAME DESIGN, just top tier. I mean I get that GTA 3 was an innovative game, and games that try so many new things won't get everything right but seriously? It isn't like the technology wasn't there or anything. Halo Combat Evolved came out the same year, also had vehicles that tipped over easily but in Halo you could flip them back into place. I get that Claude isn't a supersoldier like the Master Chief but come on this is just plain ridiculous.

@@xChillWave More Grip, More Acceleration, Offroad Terrain is better modeled. The Original Offroad Terrain was pointey as Hell where it was easy to flip over.

Even the slightest bump you will flip.
Don't do this mission during a rain storm. I doubt it's even possible. I tried at least 10 times & continued to fail every time. The storm makes the boat bounce & go slower. I easily completed this mission the first time when it wasn't storming.
These missions truly show just how horrendous the driving mechanics are in this game. Though it’s accurate showing that the slightest fucking thing will tip over an SUV in the early 2000’s

Checkpoint nr.18 at the very top is horrible. I fell down backwards all the way from it.
@@Warrioruktry to go for it from another side of hill, you don't need to go exactly like in video. Change it in way to be comfortable for you.

Gripped is the hardest side mission in the game.
It can be a Breeze if driven calmly and methodically. The Patriot PlayGround was harder in the Original Game than Gripped.

I did gripped first try it’s really simple just don’t use brakes the car is like glue you can climb anything just take it slow.
