I don't understand why the vendors did the work despite not being an approved vendor. I would have made sure I had gotten a purchase order and was an approved vendor. Unfortunately, it's partly their fault, especially with Dolton and Tiffany situation being national news. They should have known it was a possiblity of them not getting paid.

They could of collected an initial deposit, but based off contract terms, if you don't pay, you don't get paid. For a small town, contractors are hungry for work, especially if they are local. In other words, they were manipulated to draw up a net 15/net 30/net 90 invoice and expect to get paid, but the current administration (for obvious reasons) is not paying them. Thus, the vendors that do not get the green light from the current administration, lose regardless. This is why you constantly see an endless loop of unanswered/unsolved problems with unpaid vendors. Trustees notice this, but unfortunately the current administration decides who will benefit and who will get paid. The lack of transparency for those who are not on their favorite, suffer those consequences. We've all been lied too, especially when we want to work in something we believe we will get a return for.

The Governor of this state should be embarrassed,he or she needs to tell this woman if she cannot conduct herself in a professional manner then to resign immediately. Even if sh3 isn’t as corrupt ,as they present she is guilty of mis managing and bad conduct.
