i’ve been wanting to get gudgeons, ty for giving an in-depth video on this type of fish. i lol’d at the angel fish stare down story, sounds like my kind of fish!! lol 🐠
I think it would work out, their may be a little bit of bickering at first but in a densely planted tank, you should be good, once territories are established i think they will get along just fine!😁 thanks for checking out the video!
Thats a really good question, and I appreciate you bringing that up. I wish I had mentioned this in the video. I DO think it would go after shrimp its behavior seems like it would but if you have a super density of plants in the tank creating many hiding spots for shrimp I think you would see minimal casualties. But when the gudgeon hits its max size it could probably do some more severe damage if it gets ahold of one
Thanks for the great info. I’m thinking of getting some of these.
@@andrewgoldfish thanks for taking the time to watch my video! I'm glad it helped! I 100% recommend this fish, you will really enjoy keeping them🙂
Damn...that's a sweet looking fish. I'm gonna have to get a couple of "Peacock Gudgeons" when I begin stocking my tank with fish.
They are remarkable animals, the beauty of their colors is amazing!

Would you recommend a small group of these with Sparkling Gouramies in a 20 gal heavily planted tank?

One of the fish I'm looking at for my 20gal community tank. Only issue, would they go after shrimp?
