So yeahhh, the Hytale devs just announced they're delaying the game for another 2 to 3 years ---- the hype train will be long gone by then, considering it's been in development since 2015.
You should check out this game called red room. It's a free to play game in beta. It gonna be big when it's done.

I've been thinking about this recently. We "NEED" a game that is actually continuously updated and treated well. Minecraft could have been the game of the century. Historically, there has never been a game to last multiple generations with continuous "good" updates. Minecraft has been going downhill due to how Microsoft is managing it, it needs more substantial updates to even be considered worth buying new content for.
Hytale has be potential to be "THAT" game I just described above. Think about it very thoroughly, there has never been a game that is nearly perfect and captures a good balance between open world exploration and sandbox + being a 3D game. Terraria is a really good 2D sandbox game, and it might not be surpassed anytime soon since it was just so damn good with balancing its gameplay and sandbox element. This is the current standpoint for 3D games too. For 3D sandbox games, Minecraft is not as good as people claim. It's "good" but it's not the peak of humanity. We need an "Einstein" for gaming to create the next generation of sandbox gaming. We should invest more into continuously updating gaming to truly uncover what is possible in the world of computer "simluation" and computer graphics. Imagine if Minecraft received proper updates (which it could easily have the funding for from Microsoft) for a century? This would change the economic model for gaming from buying the full rights to a game, vs purchasing a "lease" agreement / Updated model agreement where you pay for the new updates every 5 years by "repurchasing" the game for the updates?
The future of gaming will either change for the better in the future, or we will get worse and simply make for profit games and only develop games no longer than a 2 year cycle to maximize profits for large companies.
The future is happening now and I think we will reach a point later in Hytale's community where the community will suggest update ideas for the game and the developers will continously adding them for a few years and Hytale will truly become the "next" Minecraft. Remember what it means to call something "The Next Minecraft" what that truly means is for something to become truly unique and to give us a new gaming experience that adds to our overall experience that hasn't been done (as well) before. Minecraft got "lucky" that it was the first game to really get the "open world" sandbox genre started and to do it well enough to be very fun. I look forward to all of this and think we will see true "next gen" gaming only after the developers realize that true profitability comes from detailed game development.
Yeah I agree that people believe that minecraft is perfect since it's the most popular but there's some serious flaws with the game that makes me not enjoy it as much as other people. Hytale definitely feels like a next gen sandbox game, incentive to explore and even better there's lore which already makes me more invested/curious about the world. I definitely believe hytale will be one of the fastest growing games to ever be released and it deserves to be, I'm constantly trying to learn more about the game everyday
I'm super hyped for Hytale! I hope they take as much time as they need to develop the game. I don't care if it comes out in 3 years, I just want an awesome game just like it was promised!

@@ItsProjectGenesis ik but there are no updates or dev blogs, they stopped em completely, a small update or a tweet every once in a while would be nice, just some community interaction even if they don’t have much to show would do wonders, I understand game dev is hard tho, their reason is that it takes from dev time or dev resources to constantly keep updating but marketing is key, idk still hyped cos if like 90% of what they showed is in the game we’re set.
@@jokered1133 Ye I feel you, I honestly have no idea why they haven't updated us but they're definitely still active and interacting with the community I've seen them respond to tweets and such, I also believe after their first trailer getting 58 million views one of the highest views for any game trailer they're not worried about hype "dying" down because when they release another trailer people are gonna freak out

Alterverses are basically new Plantes in a different Solar System, we can reach them With Portals.
The Other Planets may also tell the Story in a different perspective.
They may not come with the Beta or first full release, but with Updates or DLC's.
(I would personally find it okay if you need to buy other worlds, they have put a ton of effort into the game )
I haven't too dip into the world I'm still reading as much as I can on their website, I know about the portals though which is really interesting, the game is going to ridiculously fun to explore

It's not though, it's more different then you realize. Hytale is focused more around RPG and Adventure with lore, whereas minecraft is just focused around surviving and doing whatever and making up your own goals/objectives
