LSU is the type of venue where just buying a soda while wearing an opposing team's jersey is a monumental task. The fact that she coached them thru that environment speaks volumes. LSU has a talented team, but SC has the intangibles.

Iowa fan here. Damn, South Carolina has the heart of the champion. There were so many times during the game where it looked like the game could get away from them and where they could have collapsed entirely, but they didn't. They kept their head in the game, kept fighting, and came out of Baton Rouge with a W. That was a hella impressive performance, and what a fun game to watch! I thought both sides played their hearts out! Can't wait to watch how the rest of the season unfolds!
LSU fan here. Congratulations.. It was a great game. We didn’t get outcoached. SC’s bench strength was the difference. Poa and del Rosario were all we had off the bench. Y’all deserve to be #1.
Dawn definitely outcoached Kim. The timeout usage was a debacle for Kim. Also, Kim and her bench talking to HVL and not being aware enough to know that HVL was close to a backcourt violation😮. That should be basic for HVL and the coaching staff.

I actually prefer watching women's basketball over men's basketball because of the fundamental skills required over the men. Having said that, I don't see the women's game catching up to men's basketball in popularity and revenue. Great goal to shoot for. I just don't see it happening. It came down to the players from SC who won the game both coaches did a GR8 job. Chloe, Bre, Lay did their thing & the others chipped in when needed. Also getting fouls are part of the game. Reese have to play smarter!! l was amazed@ SC being down & winning overall they are a young team that is still learning to play together🔥
LSU players had doubts on their faces and the early basket celebrations displayed it. Coach Mulkey knew SC was the better team. Another note, LSU players are very talented, but slightly out of shape. South Carolina players are in much better condition and in better shape. LSU was missing their shots and SC was making theirs near the end of the game. Fatigue is a factor in these games. Great job of Coach Stanley keeping her team in good physical fitness for their schedule.

I knew the high low game wouldn’t work between her and Cordoso against LSU but Kitt went strong to the hoop and knocked down major shots! I was yelling “come on Bre get in the game” all first half but she closed it in the end. Pao Pao definitely gotta put up more shots at the tournament but man I can’t wait to see yall when yall come to Greenville ! It’s going to be a good one ❤️💯 btw I got some girls coming up in the upstate of South Carolina … Hope I can get a few to you Dawn! We got work to do, but we’re doing it! #southcarolinarisingstars
That lack of depth on lsu is going to be a problem as they advance in the tournament. I’ll say, as much as I’m glad South Carolina came back and made clutch plays, it would have been really daunting if lsu had a deeper bench.
Come March fatigue will hurt LSU players...I would have utilized my bench get the younger players in the game...this was the game to do it against a tuff time

The thing that has always been lacking for SC has been that outside perimeter shooting -- and now that they are putting this in place, they are demonstrating the power of their strong inside game and their improving outside game - each supplementing the other - while not slowing down in their aggressive fast breaks and continuing to be consistent at the free throw line. This year's teams is arguably their most well-rounded team, and it is showing in the "easy" games as well as these "Final four" type contests. Brilliant recruiting, coaching, and play at all levels.

First off Auburn was at home and it's hard to win on the road. SC played in a very hostle environment and won the game. Just think SC boys just knocked off Kentucky Boys at home because they played well, but also a rowdy crowd on the road. These type games help the team overall. If Angel didn't foul out? If Boston didn't get three quick fouls against Iowa we would have won last year. You can't use that excuse. If, if, ands and butts were cherries candy's and nuts we all would have a good Christmas now wouldn't we. Stop complaining on a tough win on the road.
