This is such a great series. I am one of those who tries to learn by trial and error and the errors always outweigh the amount learned. With this series, I feel like I can do so much more now. Next step is to get a decent camera so I can have pictures that are good enough to actually spend the time to work on. Anthony, when you consider updating the Part 1 of this series, please consider discussing a little further how to organize photos that are already in your hard drive. I have approximately 9,400 photos on my hard drive, including many duplicates and I am sure you have a helpful way to organize them much better than I have. Thanks again for a superbly done series that, for me at least, is basic enough so tht I can learn, but advanced enough that I can do "miraculous things" with my photos.
I have followed episodes of all the major tutorial series on Photoshop Elements. I thought SimonSez was the best until I discovered Anthony Morganti. I'm now sticking with Anthony. He has taught me tips, tricks and shortcuts I never learned in any of the others!
Tony...I just wanted to say thanks for all your efforts in making Elements and LR5 understandable with simple examples. You have expedited my learning curve greatly ...keep up the good work
I just purchased Photoshop Elements 4 and was very happy to see this tutorial that explains what and how to use the Toll Pallet. Most people assume that you know this already and don't start at the very beginning. I used to work in IT Helpdesk Support and had to step people on how to do things in their PC and you can not start teaching someone by starting on step 5 because they might not know steps 10-4. I have trained a lot of people starting on Mainframes then PC's soI am very happy to see your video. After I am done with this one I am going to go look for 1-3. I hope that one of them shows my how to import photos. My book states to go to File/Get Pictures and Videos but I don't see that option under file. I hope one of your video covers this. I also noticed a lot of my options in Photoshop are grayed out and not sure why. Thanks again Margarita
Love your gentle laid-back approach. Sometimes I have a problem following that nervous twitchy cursor as it jumps about, but that's a small price for the stuff you deliver. Thanks again, much appreciated.
Just wanted to thank you for bringing some focus to this great application. I know they've written books about what I don't know about Elements but thanks to your tutorial videos, I'm making headway. Looking forward to this on going learning experience.
Many many thanks Tony, although we are now in 2017, i have had Elements 11 for three years and only ever used the basics up to now, but since i have treated myself to the canon pro 100s printer, i realise the need to work on my images before i press the print button. I have subscribed and look forward to many more of your tutorials. Best Regards !!
I needed a good series of tutorials for Photoshop Elements 11. I was thrilled to come across yours! You are pleasant to listen to and teach at a pace that is easy to follow. SO HELPFUL! Thank you very much!
Hi Anthony, I enjoy your videos for several reasons. First, you do a good job with the explanations. Second, your voice and pace are easy on the ears and I can listen for an hour and be comfortable. Some think they must jam 20 minutes of info into 10 minutes and I cannot listen to them because I am not comfortable with their pace. Keep up the good work and lots of luck. Roger. ps I am originally from Johnstown, Pa. a blue collar town like Buffalo.
I have learned from your videos on Elements 11 and still learning. Can you tell me how to change a photo in landscape to print in portrait....thanks,Barry.
i will have to say the same as phillip below me this is the best lessons i have ever had thank you so much anthony you are a star loving every one i have played around for year with elements and in just 3 lessons i have got so much from you all the best from trev in sussex england
I know that this video is months old...but...like in Lightroom, if you have a mouse with a scroll wheel you can change the size of the brush or other tools by using the scroll "button" on the mouse without having to hit the bracket keys. So it's much more convenient to use.
HI Anthony, first thank you for your videos on elements 11. I am busy watching video number 5. Where you do spot healing...when you move you mouse over the photo, a sircel appears on your screen, but on my screen it shows kind of like a cross with a sircel inside, and doesn't allow me then to do the spothealing. please help me!!
+Lisa Maier Hi Lisa, the pen tool is in Photoshop, Photoshop Elements doesn't have a pen tool (it should though in my opinion). Some of the techniques in PSE will show some options that mention a pen, they probably should say boundary or outline instead. I suspect that the pen tool will make it into PSE at some time in the future.

how to put items into my render when using the pen tool.
I agree, Photoshop is great. I actually go back and forth between PS and PSE quite a bit, using the strengths of each program as needed.
