    I love the fall. I live in Texas outside of Austin on the face of the sun. Fall makes me excited. Like when I was a kid and the fair was coming. We had a great fair when I was a kid. The cool weather makes me want to run in circles in the yard like my dogs do when it is cold.

    These colors remind me of the changing leaves in autumn.
    What I love about autumn is the changing colors and the cooler days. I love winter though with the snow, resetting, and peace that the season brings.
    Try to think of it as autumn rather than fall. Fall makes you think of harm and therefore no good. Autumn is lovely with color!

    When I start dying yarn (I just started spinning my 3rd time with the drop spindal)

    beautiful colors! What I love most about fall (in your part of the world) are the changing colors, the cool crisp days, and the chance to start wearing hand knits! That's the kind of fall I grew up with. Where I live now, it's not as nice - just grey and rainy.

    I am super excited for autumn, my favourite time of the year. I like that it gets dark outside in the evenings again and the lower temperatures, it makes it so cosy to snuggle up inside with coffee and a handmade blanket, knitting and watching TV or listening to audio books. Plus the colours outside are so beautiful and it's not too cold yet. Only bad thing is that all my new house plants could use some more sunlight 😉🌱💚

    Autumn is full of all kinds of wonderful colors! It's cooling off, and time for early evening bon fires! Sweaters all warm and comfy! Cool days and cooler nights!
    Summer us so hot, and there is only so many clothes I am willing to take off! Lol even in my own home- at least during the day-when a stranger may knock on the door! 😈
    In the winter there is snuggling in front of the fire place and cuddling up with your honey!😃 Bundling up and playing in the snow, building snowmen, and making snow angles! Throwing snowballs, taking sleigh rides! All of that you can't do in summer! The cooler weather is WONDERFUL! Fresh apple cider, leaf piles, long walks to just enjoy the color changes of the leaves! It's all part of Autumn! It is a beautiful wonderful season!
    These are but a small amount of the reasons that I love Autumn, and Winter!
    Hope this helps you see the coming seasons in a better light!

    I have a couple quick questions! im interested in hand dyeing yarn too and i was wondering if the yarn id hand dyed, will it change the properties in any way? like will it change the weight and the ply? and i saw in your video you had bottles of acid dye. Is it possible to store the dye that is already mixed in a plastic bottle or does it need to be used at that time? Thank you so much and i loved your video!

    • @FiberLoveDiary
      @FiberLoveDiary  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have read that it could possibly make your yarn weigh a little more, but it would be dependent on what type of molecules are in your dye. Otherwise, it shouldn't change anything. People do store dye stock, and I do save extra usually. There are just a few colors in my collection that I've learned don't store well, so I try extra hard not to mix extra of those.

      I guess, if you fall in love with something, just email me and I"ll see. I've never really considered selling handspun because it's so labor intensive. Thank you!

    i love the color choices! i would recommend wearing PPE (R95 or other particulate mask, gloves to avoid staining hands like crazy, and goggles for possible splashes) especially when working with the dry ingredients for the dye bath, nothing ruins a day like getting acid dye in your eyes and having to flush them forever and then the ER trip after to be sure you got it all lol

    What dye are you using? Thanks for posting, very informative!

      I use acid does from Jacquard, Dharma brand and ProChem.

    What is the dye you use?

    • @FiberLoveDiary
      @FiberLoveDiary  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      My favorites, in order, are ProChemical, Jacquard, and Dharma. Some of the Dharma dyes have been inconsistent in breaking and setting, so I am not really buying more of those right now, but I do use some that I already had, or that are favorites that I just can't live without!

    I have a suggestion for you. I was looking at your Esty. It would be helpful if you say what the fibers you are selling can be used for! I don't know about all the different types of fibers are, so if it says it is a blend or 100% wool, that is helpful. If it can be used for felting or not? Thank you!

    • @FiberLoveDiary
      @FiberLoveDiary  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Interesting. I had never even considered that someone might buy one for felting.

    • @pennygonzalez8772

      @@FiberLoveDiary there are different types of felting. I am using the Tutti Frutti from the Sept Paradise bag to make coasters/felted. They are knitted and then shrunk in the washer! But the fiber has to be 100% wool. I thought of telling you this because on their website under Tutti Frutti it says *feltable

    Beautiful ! But I have to ask, why don't you use one hand to squeeze the bottle and the other hand to push the dye into the wool? Instead of switching hands again and again? I'm sure you have a reason, but I was just wondering. You make amazing yarn xoxoxoxoxxo

      @@FiberLoveDiary Oh gosh, I'm sorry. I really didn't mean anything negative. I'm a chef, and was taught the "one hand wet, one hand dry" method, like when breading food and things, so that came to mind when I watched. I love your stuff, and I again apologize if I was out of line.
