The old geezer playing the sheriff is Henry Hull, a brilliant character actor. During episode 34 in season 2, he played a legendary retired U.S. Army Scout named Charlie Trent. Charlie is hired to lead a group of U.S. Army soldiers who are escorting a shipment of gold through the desert. It is another brilliant episode.
I liked this episode and I think those two had a lot of fun making it. "Hey, Little Jim, cleanest little back shot I have seen in my life!" After they walk out of the bar, the young guy who says, "They are the toughest, meanest killers I ever saw!" was LIttle Joe's stunt double and would have many bit parts during the series.
The beginning was hilarious! 0:29 "Hey, that's good shootin little jim! Cleanest back shot I ever seen in my life! Calls for another!" 0:54 "A shame, he had a full house!" 1:02 "Drinks are on them!" The ending was cool too! 47:11 "Hey. How far is it to Kiowa Flatts?" 47:16 Hoss: "Just a couple of miles back down the road..." 47:33 "You don't suppose?.." Hoss "I think so!..". Classic! lol
I enjoy Bonanza. thanks for posting.. same woman as Mrs Hoge (hilbilly) in another episode. Fun to see the Actors, old, new, revisited. ..loco weed and lorna doone? lol
Pet peeve: these guys are always tossing their guns around, doubtful they treated guns so nonchalantly. The current equivalent of tossing your phone out a window!
Peter Taylor that’s because Michael Landon was left Handed thus it was easier to get that way due to majority of holsters being made for right handed people.
This elderly gentleman was halarious as s a comdian but played westerns he was a actor natuarally i think and i think his voice carried him over alot just like bruce dern voice
@83rdox He must had some serious issues didn't Pernell Roberts (Adam Cartwright) forget it was only a 📺 show.I guess the toupee he had been wearing all those years must affected his mentality & forgot that Adam was only a character on Bonanza. He came out of that toupee real quick when he became Dr. Trapper John Wow !! he graduated quickly from a western 🐎tv show to being a top cheese Dr 😁March 15, 2020
I dont believe i've ever seen an episode of Bonanza before, before my time, though i do like my Westerns. I think theres gonna be a whole lot of Bonanza goin on around here for the next little while😉
@David Fahey Bonanza , Gunsmoke & The Rifleman Gunsmoke was some of my Western 🐎 📺 shows .Along with Have Gun Will Travel with Richard Boone & I just can't forget Robert Conrad as Jim West - In The Wild Wild West , Steve McQueen as Josh Randall - Wanted Dead Or Alive I am glad that every once in awhile I can watch them on T.V. 👏 & 👏 take care March 15,2020
Season 1, Episode 19. Aired January 23, 1960. "Hoss and Joe get themselves involved in a family feud in a small Texas town where they are mistaken for bloodthirsty hired killers."
This whole Bonanzer show is only 10 minutes long. These 50s shows were too short and in black and white. TV was new and the TV sets were too small to hold a longer show.
Is there anyone who loves the truth, more then me? Is there anyone from sea, to polluted sea? I wonder will the truth that's been long and lost ever be found Not such a tough guy now are you, sergeant Brown ... Your not such a tough guy, are you?, sergeant Brown Enlisting the help of your two large goons to beat this woman down Abused her nude in a holding cell with your other costume clowns But in my eyes your a badge wearing coward, Mr. Brown I'll say this to your face, I'll shout this from the roof You can ask anyone, how much I love the truth I know they praise and worship you of that I've seen the proof But their gods will answer to mine and that's what I look forward to.

I loved this fun episode! The casting could not have been more perfect. All those colorful character actors look so natural in their roles.
Who else is still watching BONANZA on the classic station in 2019 & beyond.?

Wasn’t Little Joe’s fake mustache falling off at the beginning while they were in the bar? 🥸
@Roy Payne wow I never would have noticed that especially when he was drinking beer with the cigar in his mouth! Thanks!

@@garypatrick7817 Exactly what I was thinking .

Hoss and littleJoe look nothing alike yet two other brothers look exactly like the both of them. The silliest one ever
They are all half-brothers. Each brother had a different mother.
I have a sister, and we look nothing alike.
Mrs. Cartwright got around.
No mistaken the size of Hoss or a mustache on little joe. Hilarious.
This was awesome!
This episode was hilarious and a classic
The one in the Pink is built.
did you ever notice, on the westerns, no body ever works except the bartender.
People go to bars just to enjoy themselves, I think, but your observation was quite interesting.
Sorry if my english is not so good.
I used to be a bartender and often wondered that myself.
@@garymckee8857 And Joe and Hoss skipped out and shafted him for two beers
Can you do more Bonanza please The Ride is my favourite any with Pernell in
I love Bonanza, but it was episodes like this that made Pernell Roberts palm his face for six years.

I thought this was a very poor and frankly, silly, episode. Very cheesy. I have been a huge Bonanza fan from very first episode and still am.
Hoss looks good with a beard.
I like when Dan blocker was in the lady in cement with Frank Sinatra as Tony Rome good movie.
Dan blocker i miss him.
Hilarious! Ty for the up😊✌️
Classic western.
Que tal uma legendazinha ,um clássico merece respeito daí todos ficam alegres certo kkkkkkkkkk
Silly beyond words....
Henry Hull playing virtually the same role he played in The Sheriff of Fractured Jaw
This bartender/bar-owner ain't making diddle squat. He hasn't seen a dime. At this rate he'll be bankruptcy.
This reminded me of the Cartocks in the Flintstones episode...

I love Bonanza. I watched them all growing up and most of them on TH-cam by now, but I feel cheap and violated after watching this cliche.
