me. I was in my season (1 year) of depression and anxiety that led to crippling anxiety with unwanted dark thoughts along with bad habits. I considered it the worst time of my life even though my life was filled with trauma. The trauma eventually resurfaced to me during that season .
I was struggling as man, friend, family member and husband. Nobody could’ve healed me. I seeked help from therapy, philosophy, working out, etc but all of that was just a bandaid.
I gave up and leaned on God. He carried my cross for me when I couldn’t anymore. I surrendered myself to him then I woke one day feeling fresh-like a new. I breathed in air like I never did before and was finally immersed into this world. It was just black and white to me, but I finally see the beauty and colors of life.
God answered my prayers and gave me more than I can ask for. I now believe that he put me in my situation to see myself, my past and to shape my heart, and character.
I will never forget what he has done for me. He saved my life, marriage and friendship.
Best explanation i've ever heard is:
"God didn't make religion, humans did. We wrote the book, created the laws, and separated good from evil in honor of god. It's basically a giant fan club we made, in his name."
This is the explanation that makes sense to me as a person in science. It’s hard for it to believe it because I don’t have any physical evidence besides words from others. I am struggling to find faith because man, it would be really nice to have.

All these things that are said, written, and done in the bible have been seen by thousands or people, it's lasted for thousands of years. Faith isnt a physical thing much like say certain elements within science. God holds back many rotten things that happen, and the things that do happen to us are tests for your faith. What God wants is to see if you will continue seeking his aid or will you abandon his side and stray away? Even if you did stray from the path he is still their waiting with a hand for you to grab because it is never to late. Until it is to late. Stay strong brother/sister of christ.

Thank You for posting this!!! Been saying much of it for years - man made, man written, man-woman changed it by adding to and removing parts of the Bible on a whim! Believing -in spite of these things- carries us thru all. He never says we may not suffer our own consequences along the way, but Faith in God will carry us thru always. Suppose to be no hope in life, If you are a good soul, it only strengthens your soul and faith in god.
Look at the story of Job. His life was terrible... yet he never blamed god. He got closer to god. This life is a test.

This artist is one of the reasons my wife and I started going to Church to put Christ in our life 1 year ago. First song I heard was Depression, followed by a rabbit hole of songs. His lyrics and powerful, and his videos spoke directly to me.
I’ve always known that God exists. But always thought that was enough, while putting my faith in man and myself.
My anger through Covid, through watching what is happening to society, was tearing me apart, and made me realize that my faith in man and myself was unfounded. There is only one way to salvation and peace. Jesus Christ.
It's is the same issue since man fell from grace. Man doesn't want to serve GOD. Man wants to be his own GOD. That is what keeps some defeated. The refusal to surrender to GOD.
Me also. I am reborn. I was not Christian. Watching this Trilogy of songs by Dax along with his other songs brought me to God and Jesus. I belong to an Evangelical church. We are always in the Bible. ✝️🙏🏻♥️

Hello brothers, This is my first time here. I have been listening to DAX for quite a while. He is very message-oriented. His other work is very thought-provoking as well. He is a young man on a journey.
I've been listening to dax for about two years,no other artist have reached me like dax .... He spits pure soul .....
Its easy to forget that God wants us to be authentic and real with him. When we are angry, he knows we are. We are sad, he knows it. You cant hide from God, Dax is simply voicing those true feelings.
The comparison to the Psalms and David is a very apt choice. I have learned so much just going through the Psalms how much it is so extremely important that we are real and authentic with God. He can take our anger and our pain.
It's not the words we say, it's the heart behind it.
This video reminded me that I can be raw with God. Albeit i wouldnt use cussing to express my feelings, but I tend to forget, this is my Creator, He created my feelings, I can totally be raw with Him, and He can handle it
I’m getting that lately. He’s been moving hard in my life. Today I asked him to strengthen my soul again, and so much emotion and anger got let go and I was clear on my Faith, and am finding healing in my life
as a pastor....i fully appreciate this song.....dax told it raw and uncut while also covering many questions that people have within their own lives...and the pastor here gave some good commentary on it....we as christians need to do better....paul often corrected false christians just as jesus brought correction to the pharisees because plainly put there are many self proclaimed christians out there that look exactally like pharisees of old......God bless yall

I love his rawness... God knows we all have fallen short. I know I have. God knows our hearts ❤️ look at all of his deciples... kinda like our modern-day felons.... the woman at the well... I don't go to organized religious settings on a regular ... due to the judgment, control factors, and evil things that happen like child molestation.... that part hit home.....but My God knows My heart ❤️ he resides within me... The pain never truly goes away but you learn to work through it and learn from it every experience good or bad teaches you something. Left the church years ago, but I still get by because I have hope. Mostly that in an infinite universe their must be some higher powers regardless if it's one or many.
I witnessed one of the most beautiful prayers come true.
A hunter was in his tree stand alone. Nothing came by to tag. Saw an eagle across the mountain. Spoke to our Lord in prayer and stated something like he would really love Jesus to show him a miracle. Next that eagle was perched on his shoulder while he cried.
Our Lord is omnipresence!
IF this is true, then it’s a shame… if god answered his prayer while leaving thousands of kids dying of cancer then I’m not about that god… you wanna answer a prayer then make a priority list… sumthin.. damn.

Dax has helped me focus more on Jesus and what he said. I will be honest I have issues with many things voted in as the bible, but the one thing I keep going to is Christ and to follow him. I have studied a read the bible for many years and slipped towards a more unitarian view, but Jesus keeps directing me back to him and the other simple message that other religions really don't teach is evil is a reality it's not just ignorance, and Jesus points this out!

God knows who you are when you are all alone in the dark when no one else is around. We all try to pretend we aren't that person that he knows. The hardest struggle I've faced was coming to terms with the person I've become through the lessons God has put before me. Coming to term with the version of myself that he already knows and has known since I was born. We spend so much time trying to fill a void with worldly things because we see ourselves as the main character of the video game of life. We are second. Thank you for being so raw and honest. It's hard to find in this modern world.

Honestly I don't believe God cares what words come out of your mouth when you talk to him, he just cares that you came to him to talk. When a child goes to their father to talk about what they're going through or how they feel I don't think they get upset over the choice of the words you use he wants you to speak freely with authenticity and without fear of him not hearing the message being relayed because of the words or vulgarity. God wants to hear anything and everything his children have to say.
A father want you to be open yet still respectful. And yes of course everyone's definition of respect is different. But every child knows how far they can go with their father so they know what boundaries not to cross. Rather they choose to cross them or not.

The one thing i love about this song is him speaking out and saying what majority of people think i am no christian but i do believe in god but sometimes its hard too really accept that fact some days i believe and other's i have a hard time. Always ask myself why were down here amd whats the purpose i mean alot of people would argue if there is no god then why are we here then i ask myself. If there is a god then why are we here? What is our true purpose here that we must live and then be eternally free why must we live down here only to go to a place we dont know exists. Why couldnt we just be born into heaven and not live this life? Many questions i ask myself and hope many others feel this way too

But, I've turned a corner and I'm back with my Lord and feel more whole than I ever had. But I still have these emotions and questions. But, I guess this is where faith come in.

When I've been at my lowest times on the ground i hear the thought enter my head "god why" or "why did you give me this life" but when it comes to my head I instantly stop myself and say Im sorry to him because I know he alone has always stayed by my side even when my heart was closed. Mental health and just the hardships of life in general are so exhausting sometimes our faith gets weak and we begin to question everything. But just remember open your heart and your faith will be restored and you will feel the power of him assuring you he loves you and you will get through it and you are strong enough to overcome as he made you in his image. I love you all. ❤

I have been struggling for so long. I adopted the Norse beliefs because Christians i knew were just rotten, but i have ALWAYS believed in Jesus Christ, no matter what i have said out of my mouth. In my soul i NEVER LET GO of Jesus. Dax, brought me back to God. This song could have been plucked right out of my heart and soul because this would be my letter to God. But i know that this is NOT Gods world. The devil owns this place. I believe that we are here for a journey of education and love. We are being prepared to truly recognize the immense and powerful Love and is God. Some people follow religion right to hell by misappropriating things that just aren't in the book. Dax showed me what i knew all along and that is that God didn't create religion. We created it. I believe that God is Love and His love will save us. Not in this world, but the next.
Try reading the Quran. Your heart will be at peace😊

Anyone who chooses to ignore those facts are people of whom i want nothing to do with. I don't hate anyone who follows Islam. But its just not for me and i believe it is well beyond being a false religion. I am not a Christian either because i'm not interested in being labeled as anything because God did not create religion. Man created religion and i am pretty sure that no one has gotten it 100% correct. If believing Jesus Christ is the Messiah and He died on the cross for our sins, then so be it. But most Christians that i have come in contact with are hypocritical in a way that is off the wall. To be honest, anyone who is hardcore religious no matter what religion, is a hypocrite. Instead of being labeled, i choose to read a great deal of all spiritual books, and walk in love and not hate. I don't need an organized religion to tell me who i am or to judge me.

Once religion was put forth, that is when people started fighting and slaughtering each other in the name of God and to think that God would want us to kill each other in his name is pretty audacious. I am not Christian because most, if not all Christians are hypocrites and they don't follow their own advice. They will preach the bible but then go out in the parking lot after church and curse people out for parking in their spot. But, Out of all religions, by far the worst one is anyone who follows Islam. The main prophet in the Islamic faith married and had sex with a 9 year old girl, and people are supposed to magically think that is ok. That prophet also came along hundreds of years after Jesus Christ. I find it disgusting that one of the rewards for following Islam when someone dies is that they are given virgins, like they are cattle. The Islamic faith also slaughters innocent people and so many attacks, killings, and rapes have been associated with Islam. But i am not just narrowing down the morally reprehensibility to just Islam. Catholicism is right up there as well. I disagree with having some old man as the supreme leader of a religion like he is some kind of figure to be worshiped when the bible states that no man is innocent, no not one. The Vatican purposely withholds documents that they deem as blasphemous. They keep things locked up because those things don't go by their narrative. All in all i think the fighting between religions, the persecution behind religions, and the morally reprehensible acts carried out in the name of religions is wrong on so many levels. I choose love and nothing less. I do believe Jesus Christ was God in the flesh and that He came here to teach us and He died on the cross for all for our sins. All of these things are my opinions and i realize that some of them may be wrong. But despite my opinions, i do not judge anyone. Someone's faith or how they worship does not keep me from becoming friends with those people. I just have strong opinions that i admit may not be popular to some, but that is the great thing about humanity. We can disagree and debate and still be civil. Its when we stop talking that violence takes over. I don't hate anyone and i choose to love instead.

I entertained Norse belief due to it being my heritage (checked out many religions), but always loved and believed in Jesus. There are so many directions you get pulled in that my head was spinning, until I fell apart and begged him to point me in the right direction. I am a follower of Christ but go to no church (we are the church), not sure I like the term Christian the way it 's been warped, read the KJV, and have long talks with him about everything. Thank you for saying you don’t have to go to church to find Jesus. I grew up in church. Had some very negative experiences there and found out how evil can use a church as cover to make them look good. I have not been able to go back to church but am finding my way back to Jesus and god.

I never heard DAX until recently. Today I have sat and listened to several other songs. He hits every issue on the head. I have struggled with this myself. Why I have not went to any church anymore. It is all about religion, religion.
It makes you question if there is a God. But I know there is a God, or something higher than me I dont understand but I want to understand.
