- ChatGPT has introduced a new option called GPTs. You can basically create custom ChatGPTs and train them with your own data and introductions, using the new GPT builder.
It’s basically a ChatGPT for a very specific function.
So in this video, I’ll show you exactly how to create your own GPTs step by step.
To access GPTs and to build your own, you need ChatGPT Plus, the paid version or ChatGPT enterprise.
Once they roll out this option to your account, you will have a new section called explore.
Here, you can explore other GPTs and create your own.
This window is divided into two panels. On the left side, you can give directions to create your GPT and on the right, you’ll see a preview that you can test.
To start, you can describe in simple text what you want your GPT to do.
It will come up with a name, create a logo and generate a description. You can see all the updates in real-time, on the right side.
You can even upload your own logo if you want.
GPT builder will follow up, asking for clarifying questions, in order to customize your GPT.
You can also use automations and build AI agents with Zapier.

Creatiing a gpt bot is nothing more then a chat with custom instructions. but in this case each chat will have custom instructions. And this time custom isntruction is created by gpt by asking you some questions.

Just for your information, your gpt will simply provide its complete instructions without further ado, and it will simply write the content from all its files to a new file and make it available for download.

Is there a specific format the data needs to be in
dont forget to ask GPTs for suggestions on improving ones you're making, it will give you a list of possible things to add and you can choose none, some or all of them.

I currently build those type of agent on tools such as Voiceflow, Botpress and Stack AI. though mostly Voiceflow. The agents i build at customer support agents, do you think i can do the same with the GPT agents? also can they scrape websites in real time to get the latest information such as if the ecom store have current offers etc?

I'm interested in the custom GPTs to generate text using my writing style. But what happens to our data? I understand that you can choose to save for 'Only me' but is any of the data you upload or text from the conversations going to be used in anyway by the OpenAI model?
Excellent question. I would say there is no control over what you upload to AI.

Great video! I was inspired to customize GPT for a specific purpose after watching this. I'm curious, can the customized ChatGPT be used as an API in my projects? If so, are there any specific steps or considerations for integrating it into our applications? Thanks in advance!
For now there isn't direct way to communicate with custom instances throught api but you can create an assistant from your gpt model and then use its api to communciate with your app.

If you share the link of your own GPTs, can other users without turbo used it? Or it's restricted only for turbo users? Also, can you use your GPTs in an external tool for example your website, or you always have to use it on openai web?
That part is coming.!! and NO Chatgpt is only for PLUS Users so far.!

Do you think it'd be better to house transcripts as individual files or one big text file with a bunch of transcripts in one as far as feeding knowledge to the bot? I'm getting an error anything past i think 10 files.
I’ll have to test it myself. If my experience, larger files worked better when using code interpreter. But I haven’t compared the two yet with this. I’ll report my findings in the more advanced video

Got me to wonder - is there a way to create an action that will read content from a webpage prior to execution? This way we could set up our onw pages and make them available to the gpt - should be easier to update than always uploading the files in new?
Yes, you could put it into the instructions, something like; always search the web first or search this particular link for the latest info before answering a query....or something similar.
Could you please make a video on how to connect it with zapier. It somehow doesnt work for me there are always error messages and it does not want to connect.

Can one use a custom GPT as a web assistant ON their website? I’m looking for ways to have one on my hotel website (as a virtual concierge or virtual receptionist) 😅
It’s literally mind blowing. But with it comes so many questions - how do you deploy a gpt outside of chatgpt - or is chatgpt going to become a platform like ‘iOS’ . Not every man on the street uses or is proficient in the use of chatgpt so would my audience be limited to only chatgpt users? Trying to figure out how to how to build my own gpt specific to my industry (that’s the easy part ) but then to monetise it or use it for lead generation for users outside of chatgpt is the hard part.

Actually that tech support advisor is one of the available options from OpenAI. But I will build something simlar since I hvae about a 1000 videos about tech support across my channels.

The problem with this function is the "shadow limit" for the number os files. I couldn't upload more than 20 files.
My 'public' option is greyed out, and in the building profile I dont have the option to give it a name. Any help?
I have requirement, I want to scrape lots of real State websites, in that I want to scrap lots of data within multiple pages in this situation the GPT source is the "Source code of website in html" that is changing everytime. So my question is can we update it and train the model through APIs. And can we access these Gpts with the APIs ?

One more question - if I have a bunch of random videos in various places, ranging from my phone/unpublished, Instagram, TikTok, etc. Video recorded podcast where I was a guest and audio files:
1. can I upload them in their own format, without words already transcribed or do I need to get them, transcribed first, and what is the best format to upload wants transcribed?
2. If Transcription is necessary or preferred, I know of a few paid services like REV, can you please recommend any free/ low cost and efficient options? I suppose I could also put everything into TH-cam and use the free transcription.

Hi. Yea they need to be transcribed first and you can put them in as word docs. I use Descript. You can drop the video and it will transcribe them in less than a minute. It's 95% accurate and you can fix it if you have time before exporting the word doc. I think you get 3 hours a month free but I pay the monthly fee for unlimited. Rev has a similar AI service too. I usually don't pay the $1.50 a minute unless I need perfect accuracy. The Descript automated transcript should be good enough.

I must have been doing something wrong? I added data first pdf of news articles and it could read it, then, I converted the news articles into a word doc and it still couldn't read it. I asked about a particular name that I knew was in the article and at first it said it couldn't find anything and then I told it that I knew it was there and it should look again and it did find the name reference but couldn't share any info within that article about him. Am I doing something wrong or is it not quite ready for primetime? Great video btw

how much reference data can you upload to it?
I am setting up myGPT and i am running into an issue uploading files. I have gotten several to upload but there seems to be a limit on the number of files. I asked ChatGPR if there was a limit and it replied no. I tried different files in different formats (pdf, doc) and the 20th file will not upload. The files are relative small.

The real power is to create GPTs which live outside the OpenAI ecosystem for business to use ? (Assistant API?)
If I were to call the ChatGPT module through api, how does security work here? Say I want to feed it personal documents, how can I be sure these are not pushed to their public servers or are these really stateless?
As a business I wouldn’t want to expose my date, there are so many questions.

They problem I see with gpts that it does not keep history logs. I found this out the hard way. I built a trial custom gpt and after closing out browser, the conversation was gone. I was only building this for my own personal use not to share with the public. My bot told me that it does not keep the archive or chat log. This is kinda nuts because that means the conversation is limited and no historical information. Once you close out the session, you can't ask it a question about the prior responses. Thoughts?
How would it improve the experience if it remembered chat history? Like you can just refer to a past interaction like 'The book you recommended last time was a bit too dry, can you recommend something funnier this time?' or some other use case?
You say it's like a mini ChatGPT for specific function, but can we create a GPT with many different skills and knowledge (e.g. company policies) to act as a personal assistant? Have you tried that? Thx
Yea you can do that. That’s a specific function too. Which in this case is internal company policies. There is a limit of 10 documents, so that may cause an issue. Zapier Ai has a chatbot builder that may be better for that use case. But you can try the GPT for this but keep it out of the GPT store

I think it's only possible the other way around. It can access APIs and pull the information in. But I don't think you can do it the other way.

No you should be able to edit them later. I haven’t had that issue. And no store yet
@@SkillLeapAI Thanks. I did figure out what I was doing wrong and I can edit it now. I think the big challenge with these custom GPTs is going to be where to develop and how to develop your custom data.

I have problem connecting a shared folder in google drive to chatgpt. I connect it in chatgpt but it complain that it can't access it. The goal is to have the knowlegebase on google drive instead since chatgpt deletes documents as it pleases from its own knowledge base.
What is the difference between GPTs and the Assistants API they just came out with? I'm a little confused on the difference there
Yea they are very similar. The assistants API seems to have more customization options and less user friendly for non-technical people.
