I'll remember that, thanks for the tip. Norelco use to have one called the Advantage and it used these small pouches of Nivea shave balm during the shave when you squeezed these 2 buttons on the side of the razor head.
I love my Series 7 too. Although I started using DE razors this past year, I still use the Braun on occasion when my skin needs a rest from my DE blades or if I need a quick touch up.
I use a series 7 too and I dry shave with it in the morning and then follow with rubbing an alum block with cold water on my face, then proraso aftershave and proraso post shave cream. I find it kills all the bacteria and keeps the sensitivity from micro nicks clean and prevents ingrowns from getting infected. I’m interested in trying the lectric stuff you suggested.
I still have my Norelco shaver, but then mine has worn out because of the folding blades where falling off, to say I need to put the blades with the circular foils and then I learn how to fix it with crazy glue. Now I got is a Remington foil shaver it is the PF7400 F4 shaver as I try to find a Wahl shaver that was sold out, so since I got my Remington at Walmart even the Wahl was sold out I got a closer shave every time with my Remington. I could say I want to try that and even tell my dad if they sell Lectric shave in Colombia.
A nice quick relaxing shave. Excellent! I never had much luck with electric razors, but now I am wondering, since I switched to single edge, if they would work. I bought a new Braun 6 series which works great! And wouldn't you know it I found my old 7 series, the exact same one you have. Man that 7 series has a stronger motor and works great. Gonna stick with the 6 because the blades are sharper and the grip feels better. I use Lectric shave too, great combo 👌

Have you tried lathering on top of Lectric Shave? I just wonder how well it would work as a pre-(DE)shave.. I might give it a try. If I remember correctly, the alcohol evaporates pretty quick leaving behind sort of a shaving oil on your face.
It's funny, when I was in my mid-to-late 20s I tried using an electric shaver on my face, and got THE WORST irritation. It felt like I had shaved with a cheese grater. Fast forward some 20-odd years, and a whole lotta male pattern baldness later, and I'm using an electric shaver to shave my head. It doesn't get *quite* BBS, but it gets pretty damn close. And it doesn't peel my dome like a potato, which I've done trying to shave my head with a DE razor. I've never tried the Lectric Shave though. I might have to give that a go and see if it helps with those scraggly bits on my head.
I use a T clippers for my neck area and then use the DE razor for the rest of my face with a wet shave, I used to constantly get razor bumps only there in that problem area regardless of trying all the suggested methods but thankfully this one works great for me, neck isn't baby smooth but it's far better than those damn bumps!
I had a norelco foil razor just like this Braun for years and they really do work amazingly well! I just love wetshaving too much so I never use mine anymore 😂
I also have a Braun 7 series razor. I like it just fine, except it does not seem to shave my neck very well. Maybe I just need to use more 'Lectric Shave on my neck.
i also own various types of shaving gear no shavet or straight razor though, use per-lectric as well the one you use Lectric and others i have a Tabac one and a few other as well, oh yes the Lectric when it evaporate it makes the skin tighten up the stubble stand out further that makes the shave turn more smooth great shaving video stay safe, cheers....Peter
Great shave. My little brother has stopped using an electric razor on himself as he now prefers to use a trimmer to cut off his facial hair. Trimming doesn’t get his face BBS smooth like all other types of shaving do, but at least it’s a quick way to get himself looking presentable. Have a good one!

love electric shaves, I might have switched to them completely if it didn't always miss hairs, especially on my neck. I could only do it a day or 2 before I had to wet shave to get the hairs it missed
I use the electric shave pre shave with my braun 7, mostly out of habit, and I am staying at hotels 3 days a week and i have another braun3 that i use at the hotel. Both are good shavers and I would say the results are the same.
Have you considered trying the Braun with a pre shave soap? Or just whipping up a lather (maybe on the thinner side) with a brush and then using the electric? Would love to see how that works. Always enjoy your content!

Electric razors have their place. I still use mine to shave the back of my neck. And if I had any trouble spots on my face I would either skip DE shaving for a few days or use my electric razor if I needed to be presentable. I learned to use Williams Lectric Shave before I went back to DE wet shaving. It makes a noticeable difference.

You can’t shave close if your beard is laying low, if you do without Williams lectric shave on it, their faces will be ruff or bumpy and what happens if they shave off their lazy beards making their faces bumpy or rough after shaving them off with no lectric shave on it with the shaving machine first?
@@kensurfs I meant if the beard stay on your face because you shaved it laying low when it needs lectric shave on it first, and you put it(lectric shave)on for last, then what, will it work it you shave it with the shaving machine.
Very nice shave Ken. I wonder how that razor would work with a shave soap or cream? I've always wondered about that when I had my Norelco Advantage wet/dry electric razor back in the day. Electric razors without a preshave is pretty harsh for me specifically my neck area. It always got chewed up pretty good.
I had to switch to a Braun 9Pro after being on blood thinners and undergoing treatments of sun damage. Using it with water and shave cream or soap gives me close to a bbs shave. Just make sure the layer of soap or cream isn't all that thick.
My Braun 7 needs a replacement head, but when searching for a Braun Series 7 they need a model # and there isn’t any on the product. It looks just like the one you are using.

I am a dedicated cartridge user. My father was an electric guy, but I never go near an electric. However, I have heard that Panasonic gives the closest shave because its cutter vibrates the fastest. Ken, can you test this out? Is it true?
YMMV, but I am currently trying the Series 9 Pro and Arc 6 and they both miss some of the usual tough face hairs. Seems to be a weakness of all the electric shavers. Panasonic cuts the closest.
For my current lifestyle, the electric works best. All about convenience when you wake up at 5am M-F and need to be out the door by 6 and you are not the only one who needs to get out that door. Through testing and comparing, my 9 Pro and Mach are similar on my face if I only shave WTG. I would imagine if I went ATG the Mach 3 would win, but my face would pay the price. Plus my Series ( pro gives a nice, fast bald head shave.
I envy anyone who can use a foil shaver. I've never had luck with them. They don't give me a uniform shave and I get terrible razor burn. I would love to be able to use one. Luckily my King C Gillette DE razor always does the trick.
Maybe, but the 400 dollar Arc 6 misses the under the chin and neck hairs too. I know it well. I love it because it shaves my head bald fast and very close, but I would not be happy with that or the Pro 9 if I was only using it for my face.
You could use this electric razor for the treated-healing spot and the narrow area surrounding it; and double edged razor for everything else. Less noise that way.

Give Afta brand Pre Electric a try. I find it gives an even closer shave than Lectric Shave. Has a scent like Old Spice. Its cheap to!

My dad never told me that on the neck, hairs grow in a different way. I guess that’s why I always bleed and don’t get a close shave.
I have to do a 45 degree angle if I want to go with the grain on my neck

Try using Lectric Shave with your safety razor. It's an absolute life hack. Do a liberal splash and shave.

The pre shave act like a lubricant, the razor glides on your skin without irritation.
I would prefer my Fusion 5 heated razor than using an electric razor

Probably using too much pressure. I just use small circular motions with hardly any pressure.
