Question, I been practicing head voice and screaming compress distortion with full volume . I have lost my head voice only. What could had happened and how king will it take for my voice to come back. It cracks and is broken for few days now. I did scream and I thought singers screams they hear out but u prove it wrong
Hi Su. screaming is about the worst thing you can do to your voice. Look up one of my videos on youtube on how to use vocal fry. When you use vocal fry, you won't be able to hurt your self. When you put it to a microphone, it sounds really loud. In the mean time, I suggest complete vocal rest until your muscles heal.
I'm having a lot of trouble with the national anthem. It's mainly due to the fact that I'm not quite a baritone or a bass, but more of an in between. If I try singing in a lower key, I can't quite hit the low notes, if I try a higher key, I have trouble hitting the high notes. Do you have any suggestions?
Hi Nathan. Thanks for the message. I would try singing a littler higher rather than lower. It sounds like you need to learn how to sing in mix voice. Try singing the melody on a "wah". Make it really whiney, like a baby crying. It sound weird but will help you get into mix, a safe place to sing. Then, once you have that down, add your lyrics, but keep that whiney tone. See if you can hit those notes a little better. You are probably pushing too much in chest voice which only covers the bottom third of your range.

Yes! You press it and it says "That was easy!" It gets pressed a lot when singers realize how easy singing "right" actually is.

It's difficult at first, but keep practicing it! You will get there. Try doing vocal first, then the note. Go back and forth.
