Trip down memory lane with all of these. I remember being in a bike shop and staring at a blue Dyno Slammer in awe. The smell of rubber and grease filled the air as the owner wheeled in a GT show in slow motion. Those bikes were way out of my budget, but it was still cool to be able to see them in person!
Good vid! I stepped out of flatland during the mid school and was looking up info on the Slammer and came across this. Great shoutouts, too - so glad to met many of those guys in the past two years. Keep it up! You’ve got a new subscriber!
I never rode flatland, but I'm really enjoying this channel. Thanks for all of your work. Does anybody know if there's a creator who makes similar videos about other midschool bikes? Dirt, street, race, etc?
I still have my 1998 Slammer, nice bike, built like a tank. Bought it mostly for the brakes, the 990s on the fork was such a huge advancement in the sport. For some strange reason they didn't follow right away when introduced to the frames.
@@MidSchoolFool I watched all of your videos they were great thank you 🙏 What was the point of bent tubes on the frames? You should make a video explaining why they did it

Wasn't Dyno owned by Bob Morales before GT bought them ? Bob also ran the AFA contest's back in the day
Yep, Ol Bobby M held down dyno for a few years before selling to GT
