This Jedi was out in the world, doing battles for a couple of weeks, you know.. just for fun. And then returns home to wash his clothes. Best Star Wars story ever!
I'm very proud of the Jedi robes I've made, it's very much inspired by an Old republic look, I used a brown long sleeve undershirt, a sand colored bathrobe that I cut the sleeves off for the robes, for the tabard I used a pair of khaki jeans, a gray scarf for the belt and a sleeveless black robe for the cloak, I also took the side ventilators off of a respiratory mask and painted it black and gold.
Anthony, your enthusiasm for the subject, as usual, is infectious (in a good way!). Its nice to see someone showing 'us' that you don't need specialist tools, expensive paints and dyes to bring life to what was otherwise a fairly mundane prop costume. I like the gritty realism of using your dirty floor for weathering and using scrubbing brushes etc. to rub grime and life into this costume. Imagination and a little time, certainly in your case, is clearly a great substitute for throwing money ata built or mod. Please keep the vids coming. Usually the highlight of my TH-cam day mate. Thanks.
Pro tip @ 10:14 the leather pouch will infact hold the average cell phone 🤳 if it doesn't have anything on it like a pop socket (a little knob for holding a cell phone better) it's absolutely perfect for a cell phone pouch
@@createscifi Hey question when you put the outfit into the washing machine , what setting was the washer on? gonna try this out my self but with different tabards (vinyl pleather tabards) and a different color Jedi outfit ( the black one)
You could probably saved the paint step on the seam threads by using rit synthetic blend with a mix of salt and white vinegar it works on nylons! Ive used it on surplus military gear to get rid of the crap acu colors with great success!
I have the exact same costume and I wear the Jedi pants with regular clothes all the time. They’re a great pair of dress pants if you don’t mind synthetic fiber. Lol.
This was a great tutorial and I'm definitely gonna follow some of your steps when I get mine! What temperature do you recommend washing these pieces at? I don't wanna risk shrinking them lol.
Awesome! Also, nice to see a video without 3D printing! Can't wait to see your take on the belt upgrade. The belt here looks good, but I think it needs some more heft.
Great video. :) It got me realise all I have to do is give the costume to my 10yo and he will do all the weathereing by himself using everyday meals :P
Wow, another great video... too bad most of the conventions are cancelled...a friend of mine does cosplay and dresses as a Jedi. I have been envious more than once. I think I would make an excellent Older Jedi! Been 'round the Galaxy!! Thanks for all the tips! Later pal!
Great work your delivery and explanations are so friendly and warm i started a Channel After i Discovered your Channel a while back thanks for what you do and how you do it.
Go to a dollar store or wherever they sell double sided Velcro strips, literally who's going to see 🙈 them under there? I bought one myself & already plan on looking for double sided Velcro strips
I have but never excelled with it. But a friend has been showing me the new version and I think I am going to give it another go. I ended up using Element 3D as my solution.
@@createscifi I know the learning curve can be pretty steep on it. It took me about 2hrs to follow a 10 minute tutorial. most of it was pausing and rewinding the video to see what the person clicked on or match up the commands because my version updated to 2.9 and the person was using 2.8.
LOVE THE VIDS keep up the excellent work. PLZ do a vid on how to make a full jedi and sith outfit from scratch top to bottom, accessories like comlink, holo projector, etc. PLZ and thx and GOD Bless

thanks for saying
This is amazing! I especially loved the trick with sanding the fabric. I will definitely find an excuse to use that in the future. Thanks!
Glad it was helpful!

@@hyper-link7540 16:19 It's a bit hard to make out, but I think his washer is on extra delicate and hot. I don't see a length anywhere.
"Almost like Samurai" lol
I remember when I made that connection too, lol

Many thanks!!
Great video as always, and one of the most endearing laughs in existence. May the Force be with you!
Wow, great work, especially on that belt. BTW, I would LOVE to see what you could do with a Dollar Store costume.

Adding vinegar to the wash cycle will help remove odors. Especially if it's synthetic material made in the factory.
I truly thank u for your advice I found some knee shorts instead using the Sith pants. They're baggy enough with pockets & I'm just tweaking it up.
just discovered this channel. amazing!
Love this video. I want to see more so... SUBSCRIBED! ;))

That turned out surprisingly good! Never thought this is what such a costume'd look like with a little care :-)
Bingo
@@createscifi It's a fine sample and something I'll keep in mind!

Could you be able to get the blackmagic pocket cinema 6k camera for sci fi film and also watch youtube tutorials to us the setting on the camera.
would be awesome
Say Anthony, considering that the costume may need to go through two or three cycles, what setting did you have it set to?
Awesome video 😁👍🏿
Hi! nice one..! maybe trying to weathering with tea stains?
Good idea!
Hi, I have seen the same product on aliexpress, but with half of price off then amazon, do you think it will be the same quality?
what boots are you going to wear? Nice work
Dude what happened to using the kit pants. Not the ones you dyed?
Right
I bought this same cosplay! One issue I am having is that the two tabard pieces fall off my shoulders constantly :=

Hey we have the same washers lol
Do you remember what size you ordered?
Ignorant question: being that you make movies with no budget or on the "cheap" have you ever tried using blender software being that it is free?
