My husband and I made a road trip through northern Arizona @ 2007 and visited the Petrified Forest. Newspaper rock was like a gold mine to us, who are avid admirers of 'rock art' of ancient peoples. The petrified trees strewn about like gigantic kindling is awesome. We were very impressed with the visitor's bureau, which displayed examples of the dinosaurs and huge pieces of tree trunk that was not just turned to rock but to gemstones of amazing beauty. I've always wanted to return and hopefully will soon.

Hello from Maine. I went on family vacations as a child and this was a place we went. See the Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico too, if you're able to bring your family for a visit. An above ground and a below ground "Wonder", both so close by and all.

Is there a way to find out who the narrator is? Her voice sounds SO familiar! Does she narrate other videos for the NPS?

I don't get why a video like this show-casing a stunning, incredible place has so few likes - 5 years and only 309 views?

Interesting video would be better without so many sound effects in the background.

It was all made 11000 years ago in a short period of time. Ask Andrew Hall about it.
