One thing I find especially heartbreaking about Dahmer is the impact he had on the Simanthophone family. First he molested a kid from that family. And a couple of years later, he lured his brother Konerak, drilling a hole in his skull and pouring acid into it. Miraculously Konerak fled and was found by two women who called the police, but when Dahmer arrived at the scene he told some bullshit to the cops who believed it wholesale and let him take Konerak back to finish the murder. Police apathy was definitely a factor contributing to Dahmer not getting caught sooner.

I remember this! He told the cops that was his boyfriend and they didn't know or care that the kid was underage and obviously drugged. The cops made some gay jokes and left eventhough the witnesses who called said Dahmer is evil and they don't trust him. What's even sadder is the cops never got in trouble for this. One got promoted and the other got to enjoy retirement later on. ACAB

Konerak’s last moments were horrific and terrifying. He was only 14, and the thought of a kid so young being brutalized and assaulted so horrifically so depressing. Dhamer was beyond evil and disgusting, it’s so insane what he did to all those young men.

    • @letsplayfreakde1273

I think it's actually the police not wanting to have do anything with it, since in that described situation there were multiple People who said that Dahmer probably isn't his "Boyfriend" but since it was a group of black women + a little Asian kid those racist fucks decided the white guy was probably the voice of reason (absolutely scary to think this was the norm in the us)

I really appreciate how you didn’t glorify it or make it apathetic to the horror of what these people did. My grandmother apparently also left functions early to make sure she was home at a decent time to properly lock and secure the doors and windows. This is more recent but I was alive to see the gilgo beach killer get arrested. He lived in the town over from me and was also extremely unsuspecting. He had a wife and kids. that story of the killer being released on good behaviour reminded me of a different but equally frustrating slip-up of the law where a Japanese man who was convicted in France of killing and eating a Dutch woman was sentenced to insanity, extradited to Japan, and then because of political meanderings his casefile wasn't given to Japanese authorities so they couldn't convict him and he went on to become a celebrity who showed no remorse whatsoever for his crimes and he only died recently after living a full life where his only problems was health and not getting a job because y'know... murder

@@HonkeyKongLive yeah it's absolutely preposterous how he got away with it. He had published an entire book about it BEFORE being extradited, and somehow that didn't count as a confession in the eyes of the Japanese courts. Also idk how the French determine insanity pleas but usually it's done when the person is deemed to be unaware or without control of their actions, yet he had admitted to fully pre-planning and attempting his plan on numerous occasions, but always backing down. Idk about you but someone who pre-plans a murder but then has the mental faculties to back down from the murder doesn't sound like somebody unaware or without control

I think Alber Fish was an interesting serial killer. I believe he was "one of the worst american serial killers" too. The things he had done to little Grace and other children were terrible. The fact that if Grace didn't inform Fish that he forgot his bag, she would've maybe had a bigger chance at surviving. He also had multiple children, and he even made them without knowing "participate" in his masochistic needs. The letter he sent to the Budd family about him literally eating Grace with details, and about him "Not f*cking her, but he could've if he wanted to" were pretty terrifying too. I believe his case was very interesting and more people should know about it. There were multiple documentaries about him I believe, even a Vocaloid song named "Secrets of Wysteria". Please correct me if I wrote anything wrong.

She would also get aroused by this. Like Harold, she was loved by everyone and so happy all the time, so she the nickname “Jolly Jane”.

If you are curious for other infamous serial killers from around the world, here in Italy, during the 60's-70's we had the extremely dangerous "Monster of Florence" in Italian "Il mostro di Firenze"
A brutal man who killed young couples and did some disgusting things to the women once he killed them.
Theories said he was not working alone, but the "Monster" was only "the hands" of the operation, the "brain" was a doctor probably.
And even the fact they arrested a group of men called "I compagni di merende"
Translating that name can be difficult, ngl
This is a terrifying but fascinating story

its horrifying how like, ALL of these people blend into society so well. literally nowhere outside is safe, like you rlly could've just walked past someone who murdered an uncountable amount of people while otw to 7/11 today or sm. even as someone who struggles with mental disorders + violent and intrusive thoughts, its so scary that there are people out there who DON'T try to better themselves and instead actually act out on the fucked up awful things that they've thought of. anw this video was great, and u handled the topic very well, good on you 👍

I’m from Ecuador, where Pedro Lopez was captured, and sadly our laws by that time only had sentences till 16 - 20 years. After completing his sentence he was sent to a psychiatric hospital in Colombia where he was released for being considered sane (yeah I know wtf). Also the reason he wasn’t caught for so long is because he targeted girls at indigenous / vulnerable communities where there wasn’t really that much control from the authorities, and he spend years traveling through various communities across Colombia, Ecuador and Peru until he was finally caught.

Carl Panzram, who somehow had a kill count of between 5 and over 100, his story is kind of bizarre and pretty incredible. At one point he broke into president Taft's house and stole a gun which he used to commit the 5 murders that have been definitively tied to him.
    Edit:
No seriously though they have no idea how many people this guy killed it legitimately could be 5 or 115.
The five official ones were traced to him because he used president Tafts gun, he confessed to 21 murders, they only found 17 bodies, and he went to Africa were they really lost track but it's almost guaranteed he killed more people. That is why the range in body count is so high
