Glad to see he's looking well, since his stroke a few years ago. He seems to have made an excellent recovery. Millionaire was a phenomenon, and I think that Chris Tarrant was the key to its success. Younger people may never know, but it was the biggest show ever to hit television. Tarrant was the perfect blend of humour and seriousness to make it work. I think Jeremy Clarkson is the ideal successor, but those early years of Millionaire will never be beaten.

I was embarrassed to feel I was a stooge in the audience at his show, I really did not feel I was cut out for show busyness. I hate to be the center of attention but he was very nice at the time and do not regret my misspent life of curiosity. Thanxxxx
