    Hi. Is DDrum DDTi the same equipment as Alesis Trigger IO, only a different manufacturer? If so, do both modules have a cymbal choke function? I have 3 additional Roland crash cymbals (two-zone) and I would like to connect them to the Alesis Trigger IO, which will work as a slave module with the Roland TD-30 module (via midi cable). I want to have a working cymbals choke funcion for the cymbals connected to the Alesis Trigger IO. Regards.

    James, great working session of how to program the DDTI! I"'m considering purchasing this to make an e-Drum kit and your review spot on. I would be great if DDRUM had graphical software to adjust those settings (with sliders/dials) to make it easier...[wink wink DDRUM]

    Thanks for the video. If I’m using overhead mics with my Scarlett 2i2, can I just connect this via USB to my computer to control my mic wave drums?

    Hi James and thanks for the video! Could you help explaining why my ddti module keeps sending random hihat and snare sounds, i.e. even without hitting any pad? I tried modifying various settings such as gain and threshold, but the until keeps producing those hits, e.g. while writing this message. Hope you have a suggestion for me. Thank s in advance! Greetings from Brussels, Belgium, George

    Hi, I've been using this trigger module for a few years with MacBook Air (2016), now I've changed the computer to a MacBook Air m2, but the trigger module doesn't work, is it compatible?

    • @ddrumofficial
      @ddrumofficial  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Unfortunately the older version of the ddti is not compatible with the new M1 chips. Our current DDTi's on the market have been updated to be compatible with all new M series chips and Windows applications.

    So with the DDTi you have to connect to a DAW? Is there a way to get output audio without software?

    • @ddrumofficial
      @ddrumofficial  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The DDTi does not have an audio output as it is intended for studio use.

    Is this compatible with the Roland triggers? I have the RT-10 triggers for kick snare and tom

    • @ddrumofficial
      @ddrumofficial  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes. The DDTi is compatible with most pads and triggers.

    thanks for the fun info video. I have an old dDrum electronic drum set and Addictive Drums software. The old dDrum module doesn't seem to work well with win10 (pc doesn't recognize the usb output from the ddrum module), so i was thinking of getting one of these DDTi units. It should work with the old ddrum e-kit triggers, right?

    Hey! How do you get Yamaha three zone cymbals to work????? Riddle me this my guy

      You can't without a special DIY adapter, soldering/resistors, etc. MANY of us out here know how, including me, BUT a google search is your friend.

      @@companionofowls5438 search for "Yamaha cymbal wiring adapter" and you'll find Pictorial tutorial: DIY ATV/Roland 3-zone cymbal etc. click that link and it'll take you to the V-Drums forum where TONs of peeps like us get things rollin'. cheers and good luck! There's Yamaha, Roland, ATV etc. instructions and discussions.

    This is the signal flow I have: On Trigger (pedal triggers) --> DDTI --> computer --> Cakewalk or Studio One 6.
    My issue is that I heard nothing, the signal is activated when pressing the pedals, can be seen, but that's all. Checked all computer's speakers options, but the problem persist. If is the ports, don't know much about that, I'm new to this.

      Are you running a drum VST? This unit does not output audio; only MIDI. You need a drum VST that with drum samples that responds to MIDI, such as SSD.

      @@austinpalmer8850 That I know, I have Hertz Drums, but that issue was solved; was a sample setting from Hertz.

    How can I identify the new model from the old one? (they look pretty much the same) I live in south américa and I have to buy it through a site that only works with amazon, I wanna buy the new one that works on windows 10, hope you can help me, thank you!

    • @ddrumofficial
      @ddrumofficial  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The DDTi was out of the market for a few years. Any model you purchase now will be current. You can also Identify the serial #. If it starts with 2021 or anything before 2021, its the older version.

    Do you know the latency this little guy has?? trying to avoid using octapad on live shows triggering things!

    • @ddrumofficial
      @ddrumofficial  ปีที่แล้ว

      Latency is going to depend your soundcard. Make sure its buffer is set to a low number.

    • @OfficialCesarValdez
      @OfficialCesarValdez ปีที่แล้ว

      Friend, with this thing, latency would be the least of your problems. I hooked this thing up to expand my TD-30 and it was a complete nightmare. I had all sorts of problems and issues from not being able to get the head and rim zone sounds to work correctly together to not being able to choke the cymbals. And the x-talk was horrendous. Your Octapad is a far, far superior module to the DDTi. Stick with it. I’m going to have to set-up my Octapad again. 😢Update: Just found out the DDTi doesn’t allow cymbal choke.
