It's not that we love letter "a" but in my understanding is that vowels followed by consonants "r" it becomes an "a" sound.eg water, heater..etc🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪

@@ralphlouis2705 they're similar, not the same. Some words are different in pronunciation between either countries.
For example: the word, "country," the first syllable, Nigerians pronounce it, CON, while Cameroonians pronounce it COWN.

The girl from Kenya is pronouncing these words correctly very close to American language. Two different accents so both pronouncings are in their own way. Not right or wrong like the girl from Cameroon keeps saying.
I picked that too. The girl from Cameroon seems to justify her accent as better than the Kenyan accent.

It's good to give the background that in most African communities, English is the third language. In Kenya we have our ethnic language say like Kikuyu, Luo, Borana etc as first language. Then Swahili as national language and English comes third. Mostly used in formal settings like schools. A native English speaker with therefore find both Cameroonian and Kenyan pronunciation rather strange.

This Kenyan lady is not confident of herself yet she is right on most of the words pronunciations. The Cameroonian girl is over confident and believes their pronunciations is almost perfect but she is wrong on most words. She pronounces like Nigerians. Just check all those pronunciations on google and you will know who is pronouncing perfectly

English is never our language, no one is right there. But follow google pronunciation closely and see who is close
"pastor" is pronounced in cameroon "pasta" or "pasto", not "pastor"

The Cameroonians should read the English dictionary to see the right pronunciations. You do not just pronounce the word as it appears. Our pronunciation are modeled along the British because they were our direct colonizers.
