Weird that you make a video telling people what you use and how you use it and ppl crying sellout. Was looking to pick up a new gimbal anyways. I liked the video regardless if it promotes the companies that build equipment that you use.
Not bad Tony, but, do you have to have an iPhone to get tracking and a raven eye, I ask because there’s other gimbals where you don’t need that at all so I feel that this is a little bit behind the times for a new gamble.
This exist at least since the DJI RSC2. And I will even bet that it is still the same raven eye. This is working well, but at the end, even for TH-cam…a fixed tripod at 30 bucks, is enough.
Thank you so much for sharing this video! The explanation is incredibly clear and detailed, and it has really helped me understand how to maximize the use of the gimbal in my own workflow. The way you demonstrate the different functions and customizations of the DJI RS4 is very helpful and inspiring. I will definitely implement many of these tips in my upcoming projects. Thanks again for sharing such valuable knowledge!
I use my Ronin on a monopod with a cook quick-release adapter. It allows you to do still tripod-y kinds of shots, and it makes it easier to carry the gimbal with both hands.
W the many ways to track have you tried vertical tracking 100ft away at around 150-200mm w 70-200 and what would be the best reliable configuration to execute this senerio? Looking at The edelkrone v2 w vision module but havent seen a video with it nor any dji .🤪🤷 Thank You
Hey Tony! I'm a subscriber and love your content. I recently got the DJI Air 3 as my first drone. In Europe, it was on sale for €599, making it cheaper than the Mini 3 Pro and Mini 4 Pro models. The drone came with the RC N2 controller. Just curious, do you think the RC / RC2 controllers have a clear advantage over using a RC N2 controller in combination with a smartphone/tablet? Would appreciate your input. Thanks.
Quick and straight forward review Tony 🙂 I had the opportunity to review their LiDAR Unit with the RS4Pro over the Holidays. Pretty amazing if you like to use manual / cine lenses. You should try it out. Cheers from LA
So can you use this for star tracking in Astro photography? For example, if I want to set a four minute exposure (or longer) can I have the gimbal just track the star and prevent blur?
All that bullshit you have to go through. Nah, people- grab an iphone, which shoots 4K, stabilized video, and fire away. Simple, WAY less expensive, gets the job done.
I Don’t think it is worrh all that trouble. In my experience, you need to be quick. Opportunities are enemy of complexity. I’ve found that an iPhone with the DJI Osmo, and Neewer CM28 is more than enough for a fast response with more than enough quality for interviews or entertainment.
@@TonyAndChelsea I agree on that with you! it is not as robust, but good for focus and also almost full control, and no it does not record locally on the phone.
A Steadicam is a better, and more adaptable to a variety of cameras. As far as sound goes, a shotgun, or pencil condenser, will give you much better results.
So what’s new w this gimbal? I’d be sure to tell folks to not buy a gimbal unless you’re sure you need one. It’s a very common purchase that ends up sitting unused for a lot of people.
I enjoy watching your content, but can you not upload your videos in HDR? It's a bit annoying that all the sudden my phone/laptop just turn up its brightness.
Tony, at the end you quickly say, thanks for sending me this Gimbal DJI. So does that mean you received it for free to keep or just for the review and you need to return it? I’m sure it’s a solid product and your review is unbiased but you should still make it clear whether you received something for free to keep after the review because that IS a monetary compensation no matter how you cut it. Please be clear on gear you review as to whether you purchased it to review or received it for free to review.
yeah time really flies by, been following him for more than 6 years now, and never thuought i'd see such sneaky behvaiour regarding a brand deal, like just casually mentioning right at the end that the gimbal was sent for free., i mean the review is good, but when he claimed there was no lag using the raveneye and then saying it was a gift from dji, yikes... really let down
Most things are gifts that are sent to be reviewed, if you guys have been following their channel long enough you should know they're pretty transparent about what things are or aren't sponsored or advertised, could have been a simple choice of words that could be interpreted differently but I wouldn't say they sold out for any product let alone a a gimbal.
Hey Tony, another gimbal you might be interested in reviewing is the Feiyutech Scorp 2 (if you haven't already reviewed it?). It has A.I. tracking built right into the arm, which I think is super useful for people filming themselves. I bought two, and they're being paired with two FX30s with the Sigma 18-50mm f2.8. So with the gimbal tracking me, and the lenses on autofocus, I'm able to move around freely while being filmed.
This is truly the best configuration for film makers. I keep one camera on sticks and one on a gimbal during music video shoots.
that plume of dust when you attached your ipone to the magsafe thingy made me feel so much better about myself. thank you for that.

You can use android

Exactly. Imagine spending $800 just to set the camera still in a studio.

Glad it was helpful!
Now put your gimbal that's on a tripod on a set of wheels and watch how smooth your footage gets.
I use my Ronin on a monopod with a cook quick-release adapter. It allows you to do still tripod-y kinds of shots, and it makes it easier to carry the gimbal with both hands.
Excellent video, Tony.
Can you do a video how you balance the gimbal?

Been following this channel for years. Does Tony ever age?
I have a Zhiyun Tech Crane 2 will it hold a Sony a99 with 24-70 f2.8 EX DG HSM lens?
I have the Raven eye, but can't you do the same monitoring from the Sony Creator app? Am I missing something?
Awesome technology. The R3 would look awesome on this gimbal

Thanks for the review tony. I have so many ideals I would love to try with this gimbal.
Awesome Tony! So many useful nuggets in here, I will definitely come back to this once I finally decide to get myself a gimbal!

you forgot to thell the plp about the dji adapter that seperate 1:35. Its about 40$ and allows the mics to be wireless with certain sony models
gambles are one of those bucket list stuff that i wish to get to one day

I don't think it does that, but it would be great! Seems like it could if it were linked to your phone for GPS.
My gimple is not heavy enough to hold my 90D can you suggest a gimble I should use!?
All that bullshit you have to go through. Nah, people- grab an iphone, which shoots 4K, stabilized video, and fire away. Simple, WAY less expensive, gets the job done.
Yeah an iPhone is good for most social stuff, and we use them all the time. But you can definitely see the difference when you use a real camera.

Make a TH-cam video and put it on your TV. It's worth it then.
some people think like you about music production too.. that's why we ended up with autotune poisoning the industry for the last 20 years..
Thanks for the ideas!
What brand is the MagSafe adapter? Small rig like the handle?
What do think of the hohem gimbal
Sorry, haven't tried it
Manfrotto pistol grip head FTW ❤
Awesome - thank you ❤
Tony you need the ulanzi falcam quick release system . So much easier to lock in than the one supplied.
Gear gear gear and more gear. Buy this. You need that. Must have those.
This is how diyperks films his videos!
reminds me I need a upgrade >:)
Why not use Sony app for monitoring? it gives you a lot more control! and is simpler
You could! I find it clumsier and slower and it doesn't let me control the gimbal. Does it do local phone recording now?
@@TonyAndChelsea I agree on that with you! it is not as robust, but good for focus and also almost full control, and no it does not record locally on the phone.
Forgot to convert from S-Log?
That doesn't look cheap... I think I'll stay with the Pocket 2.

Dodging drone news will not do, sir. We demand an update!
Um nothing has happened, there was no "Pearl Harbor moment", and everyone has moved on?
this is 💯
That's super nice, but I think I need to wait until I have enough subs to pay for it before I get it. 😅
Tony that gimbal probably is $$$$ your oil change on the Porsche. You followers are probably only dentist and lawyers.
Pro make video like shit 😂. Color like in rest room

Step 1: buy a gimbal
* have DJI send you a gimbal
Absolutely no one needs this.
😮 how daaaaaarrrrreeee yooou
5:08 the lags is clearly visible
ikr? "no lag whatsoever" uuuh okay
It's impossible to have no lag with bluetooth, so, this is pretty good compared to earlier/other systems.
@@JePeVePe it's still not lag free as tony claims
