You welcome to South Africa Fumi. No we don't paint every one with the same brush Fumi. Those who came to South Africa legally are very much welcomed. Chidima's mom stole a South African woman & her daughter's identity make it make sense & when we stand up for ourselves we called haters what about the child the who's citizenship was stolen we need to be fair. What if it was your son's identity that was stolen?
Sister Fumie, you’ve made some valid points, but I believe there's a need to address some underlying issues more clearly. First and foremost, as South Africans, we have a deep love and respect for our fellow Africans. However, like any nation, we have laws and policies that must be upheld. When these policies are violated, it’s crucial that appropriate action is taken. In the case of Chidima, it’s important to recognize that the issue stems from a breach of our immigration laws. Chidimas mother, who is Mozambican, has been using a fraudulent ID document which raises serious concerns. This fraud likely extended to Chidimas birth registration in South Africa, and possibly to her father’s status as well. This is why the case has come under the spotlight it involves fraud which is a serious offense. Furthermore Chidimas situation is complicated by the fact that neither of her parents is South African. Our policies are clear: citizenship and legal status are contingent on these factors. If one of her parents were South African the circumstances might be different. But as it stands this is a legal issue that requires investigation, and Chidimas mother must be held accountable for her actions. What I find perplexing is why some Nigerians are reacting so strongly to this situation especially when Chidimas father isn’t implicated. It’s her mother who is at fault here, yet it seems that the focus has shifted to Chidima’s Nigerian name, causing unnecessary drama. In my view the reaction from some Nigerians seems overly emotional and out of proportion to the actual issue at hand. This is fundamentally a matter of policy enforcement. Whether Chidima was born in South Africa or not if our laws state she doesn’t qualify for certain rights or status, we must all respect that decision irrespective of her nationality. Disregarding these policies could lead to broader governance issues within our country. My appeal to my Nigerian brothers and sisters is to respect the laws and policies of other African countries just as you would expect your own to be respected. When we all adhere to and respect the rules of each nation we can work together towards a united and harmonious Africa.
Well said thank you🇿🇦🇿🇦 Just to add on that this case is still under investigation, Chidimma was not born in South Africa but was raised in South Africa and her mother is Mozambican and father is Nigerian not other way around.
Y,all keep saying her parents r not south Africans that's ok. What is the law of South Africa of a person being born in South Africa? Was she born there ? If she was born in South Africa and the law says being born in South Africa makes one a citizen then she is south African.
@@yaadapaah887In South Africa, citizenship is governed by the South African Citizenship Act of 1995. Here are the main ways in which someone can be recognized as a South African citizen:Citizenship by Birth:A child born in South Africa is a South African citizen by birth if at least one parent is a South African citizen or a permanent resident at the time of the child’s birth.
Please, because it seems like nobody wants to talk about the other side of this story. If a person is going to analyze this story, they need to do so fairly and highlight both sides. Not be condescending.
You took the words out of my mouth. Who is the girl, where is she. What struggle did she had to get an education and did she. She must have dreams and needs. Is someone going to compensate her for loss of IDENTITY?
There are many children who cannot get work and struggling to claim their matric certificates because of this. I am sad for Chidima she is caught in the crossfire of crime.
I am not sad for her at all. I wish she is made example of so that no one disrespects us like this. Steal someon's identity and flaunt it on their faces, that's how I see it. For as long as people or their loved ones have never been affected by such they will talk all gibberish.@@Jacqs-c8
According to the laws of South Africa, being born in SA doesn’t automatically make one a South African. If a child is born to foreign nationals, then the child will take up the status of the parents. You only qualify to be a citizen of SA if 1. One or both your parents are South African, two by Naturalisation which is given to skilled immigrants who contribute to the economy of the country, then SA offers the citizenship. But one can apply for permanent residency which is separate from citizenship, with permanent residency one can work, have a business, buy property etc but cannot vote. The mother of Chidimma committed fraud even now she was cought trying to escape with two different passports. South Africans are voting for Chidimma in Nigeria because there is an understanding that the parents failed her.
Defending what ? A country that is still run and dominated by the colonizer ? Why so much xenophobia against ur own brothers and sisters. Why so much anger ? Apartheid was a disease and many south Africans need healing. Infact the whole country needs healing from this evil era that has devastated its citizens. A country so beautiful but yet ridden with such violence and crime . The trauma of its citizens lay bare in these comments . The hate and anger towards foreigners. Misguided anger . If this woman was born in South africa then what is she ? She has lived in SA all her life ,born there . What is she ?
@@yaadapaah887yet you are bleaching your skins to look like those very colonizers, yet you commit fraud to force to stay in that very colonized state, make it make sense?
Right u're protecting your fatherland 😂😂😂 After u gave the crown to your colonizers children who still owns the land you're so blindly defending well good luckv🙏🇬🇭
@@yaadapaah887 I wonder why they feel SA is some kind ish and i blame other Africans who go there to seek greener pastures .Wode kye me kraa mengye .apuu. Yea and still she is an African period. Forget the colonial borders that have been drawn up by the Berlin Conference, we are all Africans on the Mother Continent.
@@Inprogress_of_newbeginings that's exactly what we have been aking ourselves as South Africans, why would Chidima's just keep quite when her child was being roasted in the court of public opinion. Her mother has run away now and our Home Affairs authorities are looking for her.
🇿🇦👌💯Lady Fumi thanks for your viewpoint ..I urge you to wait until the matter is resolved before you make" judgment " We Love Africa too and we honor honesty, dignity and respect what we experience most of the time is the opposite. I wouldn't expect anyone who is not South African to understand but for once put yourself in our shoes. Empathy and compassion are forever free. Much Love from the South ❤
I love you Aunti Fumi, I support you always but as a South African I have to disagree. In SA law being born in SA doesn't automatically make one South African. 2nd through no fault of her own the identity she has blocked another child from having a normal life e.g. that child will struggle to even get a drivers licence or even register for university. Her father added more confusion to the matter by saying he met her mother and had her in 2010 which would make her 14 today. As a South Africans we wish her well but we want our laws respected.
South Africans love Chichi the only problem is that there's a kid whose life is miserable for having her identity stolen. This should stop whether you are a Nigerian, South African, Zambian or any other nationality. Respect countries laws. Stealing someone's identity it's like you have killed that person
A lot you tube men from Nigeria have addressed this issue and have compassion for the mother and child.Fumi is just like Chidimma it’s all about the crown for them, cruelty at its best
I agree, you cannot open a bank account, study, go to hospital, buy a house, inherit anything from your parents and your kids also won't be registered because their parent would not exist on the system because someone else stole your identity. It goes beyond one generation. It's concerning when people don't take this seriously. It's unaliving someone while they are living. Really sad😢
South Africa didn't love her. The only crime she had is her name CHIDINMA. If only you knew the meaning of her name, you would've taken a different route. CHIDINMA means God is Beautiful(Good)
Thank you for the video Fumz. South African here, I think this deserves a part 2 as the issue is deeper than we think, the effects of corruption on ordinary South Africans here is the main issue here..
As a South African, I pride myself to come from this country that is so welcoming. I work with Zimbaweans, Nigerians and people coming here from other African countries. They call South Africa home, they’ve traveled all nine provinces freely. With that being said, we cannot tolerate people coming from other African Countries and break our Laws. There’s so many people in South Africa with fake identities and run illegal business. We’ve been quiet for too long, and it’s unfortunate that Chichi had to suffer like that. We love her so much, and are in support of her journey, her mom needs to tell us the truth about her daughter’s identity.
One thing you don't understand is that SA is not America. We never fought for South Africa for it to be a country like America. We don't want a replica of America.
Let us know when you successfully chase out the white people and how far you have gone in stopping south Africa becoming a global village like the rest of the world. Thank you.
We do not have a problem with the girl or Nigerians as you say but have a problem with people who steal other people identity & those who commit crime in our country & dont respect our rule of law.
We have other African people whom are in South Africa legally doctor's, nurses, teachers & so on we don't have any problems with them because they respect our laws. Every country has it's own laws & we have to be respected nje
Rules and laws must be respected at all times. It will never be okay to disregard the rules in the name of morality. In doing so there is a danger of creating anarchy. I for one will not want to see my country go through that.
Aunty Fumi South Africa loves you sooo much. 🇿🇦❤️ And I just hate how this topic has shifted from shading light about a problem South Africa has which is identity theft to Africans quarrelling about race etc.. We are a true definition of what a rainbow nation is; you can see the unity and love/PRIDE that we have from being a diverse nation; be it sport, music etc… Before we knew it, we were being called Afriphobic and Xenophobic without even taking 1 minute; to ASK how are the victims of identity theft/fraud doing?. I take accountability and say we apologise for voicing out our frustrations in a aggressive manner, bullying is wrong and she too is a victim because her identity isn’t valid until BOTH HER PARENTS fix the fraud that they have done. All they wanted was for her to stop lying about her parent being South African, fix her identity and as a valid South African citizen; she would have gladly re-entered the competition if she wishes. Because she honestly wasn’t at fault. The truth would have set a lot of things straight. But now she’s in Nigeria saying the government dropped the fraud case against her parent etc.. It’s ALOT. But I wish her the best. I know she will reach heights unimaginable. Just block out the noise, you are not at fault but because you chose to protect your parents. I hope that decision doesn’t come back to ruin your future.
You don't live in a rainbow nation. If 10 South Africans are in a room , 7 black and 3 white. 10 slices of bread to be shared. To make it fair for everyone, each person needs to get one each. But in South Africa, the whites get 7, and the blacks get 3 to share. That's not the definition of a rainbow nation.
I'm South African and im your number one fan❤. We cant wait to have you in SA sister Fumi. Look. We support Chichi just not at the expense of a fellow sister who suffeted with Identity crisis for 20 plus years. Chichi is innocent but is a beneficiary of acts of crime. Surrender a fellow sister's identity to the rightful woman, apply for your own identity and enter Miss SA, we will support you and we still do. Bring back that crown South African woman😂
Thank you sisi. Imagine selling our own girl's identity just to make Chidima comfortable in South Africa while a South African girl who is the rightful heir to this country of ours is not benefiting anything from her ancestral land while Chidima is living freely parading on stage with a fraudulent identity. I'm glad justice was served, and now the victim of CHIDIMA's family is now getting her identity back irregardless of what these Nigerians have to say WE WILL ALWAYS PUT SOUTH AFRICANS FIRST. PERIOD
@yoloti9993 , I thought Sister Fumi was also going to address the legitimacy as well cos that's our only concern. We've lived with our African brothers and sisters in SA for time memorial. As long as they are legit and nobody's identityis not stolen, we are fine. Chichi was not robbed no opportunity at all. She must get her things in order. By the way we love her. Nothing personal against her.
I wish you could also promote and respect the law. SA loves Chichi, but this saga has triggered and exposed many social issues. Understand that you are not in SA and Nigeria; both countries face challenges. Chichi has been wrongly advised. As a future queen or the chosen one, she should have started by addressing the importance of law and how it governs a country, advocating for the issue of illegal immigration and its impact on the economy, including the effect it had on her, leading to her withdrawal from the beauty contest. Furthermore, this was a golden opportunity for her to unite Africa and apologize to the mother whose ID was stolen. Deep down, she knows she missed those steps as a law student. You are not advising her correctly. SA and Nigeria may exchange jokes or arguments on social media, but they live like brothers and sisters, beyond this issue of illegal immigration. That's the truth. As a future queen, stand out for truth, unity, economy, and social issues.❤ Unbiased comments from celebrities and influential individuals could help. Let's tackle this story with full responsibility, considering the impact on future generations and reputation risks. It seems Chichi has already been given the crown, but how do the other contestants feel? Is that fair? No. Is this a genuine competition or just a tick mark practice now! Africa we ❤
With all love and respect. Please let's be honest here. Not to be offensive but don't say SA loves ChiChi... You don't. Right from the minute you heard her name. We both know the issues between both countries and some times the loss of lives it cost even law abiding nationals of Nigerian descent. However, I do agree that the law must be upheld, and it's a sad story for both ChiChi and the true South African whose identity was stolen as a result of Chichi's mothers poor actions. It is not any less sad for chichi simply because you see her on screen and she chooses to soldier on.... She is a victim just as the true South African whose identity was stolen. Let the investigation carry on thoroughly and all punishments melted. In the mean time, she has been welcomed in Nigeria because in our country, Having a Nigerian parent is all we need and is a solid and legal pathway to citizenship. But pls don't say SA loves her and wishes her well, because they don't. The sarcasm of we are rooting for you, and all that crap is a waste of efforts we see right through it so don't bother...
Yeah this matter in terms of the media and influential voices was not handled with responsibility. There are omissions and lack of truth in some aspects. I really think the other ladies are more deserving as they made Nigeria their first choice and entered the pageant based on merit. But if God has ordained this a as time of favour for Chidimma then let it be.
South Africans neither loves Chichi nor Nigerians. I don't know the rest of the story but saying South Africans consider Nigerians their brothers is a lie, actually the reverse is the case. Nigerians are the ones who have always treated South Africans as their brothers but with all the Xenophobia against Nigerians and other Africans as well that we have witnessed from South Africans it is clear that if the role is reversed South Africa would never do anything to help Nigeria. But it's ok we Nigerians have accepted it like that. Not everyone will like you
I'm living in SA among Nigerians. To say we don't want Nigerians is untrue. However, you might not understand the situation because you're not here with us. The focus is on less than 2% of SA's population who are voicing frustrations about illegal activities on social media. But the truth is, we live, work, and socialize with Nigerians daily. It's hard to explain because you're not here. Remember, SA is a country with laws, just like Nigeria, not a state of Africa. SA is a friendly country that is being adversely impacted economically by illegal immigration and other criminal activities.
Hi antie Fumi, the issue here is that Chidimma is half Nigerian and half Mozambiquean. At first it was just an issue of cultural representation in the pageant. However, Had it been that her mother obtained her citizenship the right way, we wouldn't have a problem. The department of labour issued a statement that an identity theft happened for her mother to get the identity, at this point her identity is being evoked. As South Africans, we face a lot of cases of identity theft. Its a thing in SA to just find yourself married without even knowing. Its a thing to find yourself sharing an ID no with someone else and at that point, your life is over. Its unfortunate that she became the highlight of the crimes that happen here
Please clarify! I am from Jamaica but I live in the US, so I am familiar with the citizenship requirements for SA. If she was born in SA then what does her mother’s actions have to do with all this?
@Fumi I fully support globalisation and I’m one of those who were rooting for Chidima, but the SA department of Home Affairs came saying they had evidence that her mom may have stolen a SAn lady’s identity. That’s what changed everything regarding her Miss SA journey. It’s sad she had to suffer, please go to the SA Home Affairs website and understand how this sadly affects her. It should not matter where we live, what matters is we live there legally. In this case, it is alleged a SAn lady’s identity was stolen. Please do another episode where you talk about this and its dangers so that people everywhere in the world can understand how their actions can cause harm to their loved ones and their victims. If the allegations are true, her parents must give the whole world the answers. We need to promote doing things right no matter where we are. Thank you 🙏
Sis Funmi, I love and live for you. South African have no problem with Chichi. The parents put her in this. They fraudulently acquired an ID for her. A South African child suffered and went on for months without an identity cos the identity number has already been issued to Chichi. Without an ID, you access anything from the government. She is not the only one. Many Nigerians are committing this crime shamelessly. We are seriously voting for her. She must bring it home. We raised her❤
Remember many SA people we’re signing petitions against her before the whole fraud controversy ? So the whole hate started before (just because she has nigerian roots)
@@dubemellit2932thank you. Now they say it was because of the fraud case, when in reality they were signing petitions against her because of her nigerian roots
@@dubemellit2932no, South Africans knew the situation was not looking right & it was proved to be true. People blew the whistle on the situation. Everyone wants SA to love everyone but there can be no love without respect.
You handled this topic reasonably and sensitively Aunty Fumi. I was so worried when I saw the title of your video because the magnitude of this issue is that of a 8.3 tornado🌪 and I didn't think somebody who isn't South African could address it properly. It needs people who are reasonable. Everyone is in their feelings. We all need to be calm and reasonable in handling things like this. Identity theft is wrong, fraud is wrong, just as hate and violence are wrong. People are so hateful in this world, it terrifies me.
@@simsol1082 Stop speculating, read South African Law, she is not South African by law.Being born in South Africa does not make you South African, one of your parents must be South African. if none of your parents is South African you take up the nationality of your parents
Wow, when you spoke about SA, their survival, Mandela, etc... I saw that crown on your head as a prophecy of what's to come for your life. You will be honored as a Queen. You spoke with such diplomacy and wisdom and love. You have the confidence of a Queen along with poise & grace. You are truly a blessed woman.
Thank you for adding your thoughts to this, my lady, but also remember mom was also responsible for making the right decision, and she chose the easy way out
Even Americans want people to get there legally. Not for nothing Trump wanted to change the laws. If all illegals overrun to places like America, the beauty of it all will be lost. There are limited resources and many of our people like to abuse things. Let's not look at this issue from one lens only, because you might be/have been undocumented or plan to migrate illegally. I'm saying this as a naturalised citizen of 2 countries, one of which is South Africa.
Finally, I have been waiting for this. Commentary on point. For South Africa this helped me understand where South African are coming from and this just exposed the corruption that is in SA. However I wish her all the best and I hope she gets all the support and love she needs to cope with the journey especially after the results of the investigation are expressed. I also pray for the woman and children whose identity was allegedly stolen for things to be rectified for them in a timely manner.
Aunty Fumski, I love your take on this. Dear Chidinma, Nigeria loves ❤ you, as long as one of your parent is Nigerian, that's all we need to know. Even if you are not Nigerian but you grew up in Naija, speak pidgin/any local dialect, identify with Nigerians, we CANT cast you. We love the underdog, we go hard for them and thats why the Nigerian media space warmed to Chidinma. Chichi, I wish you the very best wherever your journey takes you. Thanks Aunty Funmi ❤❤❤

Fumi, I'm South African🇿🇦 and it's a real pity what Chidimma has had to go through. Many of us were rooting for her as she was a stunning top16 finalist with potential for top3 if not the crown itself. She's a beautiful young woman. Unfortunately the whole furore led to investigations where our Department if Home Affairs found that both her parents were non-South African, with the mother having gained fraudulent SA ID. No longer allegedly but confirmed. The tragedy is that she was born in South Africa, lived here and in all respects should be South African but it's emerged she misled by her mom which came out in the worst way and at the worst time when she was reaching for her dreams. National laws prevailed and she was left with no choice but to pull out. The Miss SA organization also has a lot to answer for unnecessarily putting her through this mess because of their lax vetting processes. I'm glad Nigeria has provided her with new opportunities and I really hope she heals from this tough experience and finds her joy.
South Africa has its laws which should be upheld. Father Nigerian, mother Mozambique and stolen identity for 23 years and not even one of you has sympathy for the family’s identity that was stolen and lives ruin. So disgusting and disappointing that Fumi also endorses this when she knows there was fraud committed but now she says it’s free PR that South Africa didn’t know😮 This girl is arrogant she couldn’t even issue a statement and apologising to her followers for what happened and assure them that the authorities are looking into the matter and herself didn’t know what was happening. All that we can see and conclude from her is that she was aware of this fraud and she doesn’t care. From the beginning in her social she never declared herself as South African her bio had Nigerian and Mozambican flag, why she never had a South African flag because she never considered herself as one. Now she is looking for any opportunity to be famous and belle fellow country men are ok with the fraud nobody is calling out her family for the fraud but all is well and good. Iyanyanyisa Yonke lento
So true, every TH-camr is ignoring the fact that she stole someone's identity and she knew she is not South African tht is why she never had a South African flag bcz she never loved SA and she is selfish and nonchalant
Lool why are you so mad? You said the investigation is still ongoing right? Let DHA do their job. Everything is alleged at the moment. So Fumi doesn’t have to acknowledge Nobody but Chichi. For now, Chichi is in Nigeria. Im sure if she was able to travel, it means your authorities authorised her to travel. So let authorities work and stop harassing people on social media.

South Africa is great, we have an existing pool to draw from and we would like to prioritise that on the global stage, Chidimma is global now, but the work and focus of the current Miss SA is incredible for the deaf and disabled and marginalised South African lives to be impacted. It’s about fixing South Africa our only home and so much awareness on challenges of the deaf are being raised and the focus on learning sign language again. People are going to get implants and prosthetics to enhance their lives. It was never about the global stage but our nation, the people, the very lives that are the essence of South Africa in its diversity. If South Africa doesn’t work out, where do we go?

A South African remains a South African despite wherever they are based in the world. I've seen white, black and Indian South African people declaring how they are South African all over the world. ❤🇿🇦 We are South African. Mzansi!!!
I think there is a concerning factor that people are not addressing and I don't understand why- that a poor South African child's identity was stolen. I believe Chidimma was not at fault but she was the catalyst in showing the corruption between South African and Nigerians and Mozambicans. Clearly this is an issue of good and evil , not Nigeria and South Africa because the evil ones can work very well together. We need to call out the rot within all nations for what it is. Chidimma can use this unfortunate circumstance to address this crime experienced all over the world , go beyond her modelling career. It truly is an opportunity for her to do more good beyond the contest because she is not the first, you can imagine if someone stole your son's identity- all he stands to inherit from you and your husband going to someone else, it's not fair. So I hope she wins miss Universe Nigeria and hopefully she can bring awareness to this global issue and use her voice for good. She can turn this thing around and make something good come from it.
Because it will not be in their favour as Nigerians, akere they are used to flocking to other countries ( the UK & US) making sure they have their babies there so they can acquire the citizenship. They thought is was the same in Mzansi hence why it pains them, crying "xenophobia". Wonder how they would be reacting if it was an SA'n doing this in Nigeria.
I am South African. I think there is a wrong narrative being pushed by the media regarding this story. Chidimma is such a beautiful African girl but unfortunately according to South African laws, she is not South African because both her parents are not South African. For those that don't know, all Africans are represented in South Africa. We have Egyptians, Ethiopians, Congolese, Kenyans, Nigerians, Zimbabweans, Somalians, etc. They live amongst us. They speak our languages. We support their businesses. My brother has Nigerian friends that have become our family friends. They were even at his wedding. We support their car servicing business. In my son's school most teachers are Zimbabwean and it is such a good school. His Accounting teacher is Nigerian, brilliant God fearing man. We don't hate our African brothers and sisters😢
I agree her case is a fraud identity case and that's not right. However saying you love your African brothers and sisters is not particularly true. South Africans are really xenophobic towards their fellow Africans. As a Kenyan my family has lived in SA for years and at the height of xenophobia in 2008 we saw it. I know first hand.
As a South African ... it doesnt make sense to call Chidima a Foreigner whilst we have Whites who are said to be citizens in Our African continent... I'm not being racist at all ,I am trying to highlight the fact that we are being divided. Chidima my girl , The world will not be able to contain your greatness.❤
This line of thought is axactly what irritates me to the core! You cannot condone CRIMINALITY on the basis that we have whites in South Africa. We are not going to be emotionally black mailed into warped pan- Africanist ideals that are based on the acceptance of foreigners committing crime in this country. The girls mother stole the identity of a KZN woman who has suffered for years around the legalities of this. Stop this nonsense!
We do not hate Chichi, but the fact is we are tired of the havoc caused by Nigerians in South Africa. Actually we are rooting for her to win Miss Nigeria.
The issue here we are trying to be sentimental. A crime was committed we are trying to clean our system and they will always be casualties. Even the home affairs officials must face the law
A country that is ridden with so violence and crime calling this little matter a crime. Why do people even want to visit violent South Africa. They have so much trauma from apartheid any little thing stirs them up. What south Africans need to do is heal themselves from the pain inflicted by apartheid and kick this disease called xenophobia away. Divided we fall united we stand.
Why are ppl trying to rewrite our countries laws instead of obeying our countries laws like normal ppl....I will say it again , in SA you DON'T get citizenship just because you are born in SA ...at least one of your parent must be south africans ....
Understandable that being born there doesn't make her a citizen ( cause citizenship can be bought). But isn't she a S.African national if she was born there ?
I love you Fumi 🙏 I think most people were triggered by what is happening on the ground by those who misbehave. And honestly it must be someone in her immediate circle who was releasing information knowing very well how SAns would act. No one is denying her abilities but I think the lesson here is that people should behave when they go to other countries, no matter how small or unknown they think they may be because everyone matters and a reputation is built off your deeds. Unfortunately too many people have done so much with stolen identities that it's rational to question her, but unfortunately not of her doing but because of her parents, allegedly . You are one of the Nigerian people we love and thank you for showing us that there are good people out there but I think it's unfair for other people to think that just because you do the right thing that all of our countrymen do the right thing everywhere. We need to judge people by their deeds and not their nationality but when too much of the same things persist in a group of people, it can lead to some biases. Once again, we love you and hopefully more amazing Nigerians, Mozambicans and South Africans will do good things to not block opportunities for their children all around the world because the world is watching all of us . We all must watch how we behave to not ruin it for the next innocent person🙏
My Darling Fumi, why are you wearing only one eyelash? I have been looking at you and thinking something is 'off' and then I realised you only have one lash on! This goes to prove you're a human. I love that you still posted the video! This has tickled me so much
Fumi, I asked for your views about this story in another video of yours, 1stly, thank you and also for sharing your personal experience. Since we are African, I wish to say I agree with you that there are lessons for all of US in this story. Unfortunately, the storyline is that of a sad tragedy, and we are all suffering the consequences of Africa's under development. #We-are-the-leaders-we've-been waiting-for. #God-bless-Africa and #Aluta-continua.
I'm so amazed at the wisdom God has given you Aunty Funmi Your opinion on the issue is my favorite so far Cause it's not all about who is right or wrong It's more about staying United as Africans God bless you forever ma'am 🙏🏼🙏🙏
You can be united and still do right and in unity if you won't listen and respect each other that unity is null and void and in marriage it leads to divorce
This is the most sensitive and empowering perspective I’ve seen on this controversy. We do not need to be divided against ourselves as Africans. It serves us no good purpose. We only lose when we do that. Thank you Aunty Fumi for the reminder.
Chidimma was not born in South Africa .Her mother is Mozambican and thee father is Nigerian .One of the requirements is one of the parent must be South African which Chidimma is none
Hey doll, she absolutely was born in SA that has been proved but her mom's citizenship was obtained fraudulently and she was registered under her mom's I'd which means she's now also a victim of crime
@@berrytots8805thank you, you said it all 📌. The investigation is still ongoing. The girl is in Nigeria doing good for herself. She was able to travel and leave SA. But they’re still harassing people (and Chichi) on social media, instead of focusing on the new lady who won.
I'm in South Africa Fumi and my daughter knows that I watch EVERYTHING and everything you post🤣 and I like before I even watch. I live and I love you all day everyday mama.
Chidima mother failed her, I say this because the mother should have told her daughter that she stole someone's identity. The Chidima would have silently withdrawn.
@@berrytots8805you have no sense at all excusing the mother for criminal activity but what did I expect in this world we now live in but we will see life can be long and short at the same time no one knows what tomorrow holds
Perhaps this was also Chidimma's opportunity to show her inner beauty by showing empathy for the downtrodden South African girl who has had to trade her identity because of what her parents did. A girl whose mother has had to go from pillar to post to register her child for a birth certificate when by birthright, she was South African and probably the same age as Chidimma. Chidimma has suffered these past few weeks / months. But the girl whose identity was stolen has had to suffer her entire life (probably because she was poor and couldn't afford to escalate her matter to the courts). This is one of the many reasons African Unity will not be possible in our lifetime. We simply do not care for the same things. I believe Chidimma has a great destiny, but I also believe South Africa did the right thing under the circumstances. Letting this go would be a betrayal to the young South African girl whose identity was stolen. Perhaps the same girl could never enter the same pageant because she is an Alien in her own country
Aunty Fumi, the message that you shared about waiting on the Lord’s promises was so powerful 🥹and very encouraging. When you said that she was chosen and it took this issue to make her name global, brought tears to my eyes. God will take what the enemy meant for evil to work out for our good 🙌🏽
Babes we welcomed them all until one of us lost essential life opportunities to study & grow like all south african children. She is studying ,have bank accounts & one of us was robbed of that life .We stay with all africans ,do africans show us love & respect NO.
They had already started protesting “Much” because of her Nigerian name before they went digging into her heritage. It is what it is she was disqualified because she had a drop of Nigerian in her and had the audacity to have a full Nigerian name. Well as the truth says “they meant it for harm but God turned it for Good”
Do your research and stop this hatred. As South Africans we don't hate her. We dispise illegal entry and corruption. It doesn't matter who does it. You make it sound petty. The issue of identity theft is a serious one. There is a challenge whose life is stuck because of the alleged theft. God does not support dishonesty
God does not reward crime but he is fair and just. Her parents, the mother committed a crime of theft of someone's identify. Someone else suffered. The attention was brought on by the videos she posted when the father and Nigerian family members celebrated her winning and claiming her to be Nigerian. Then people started asking questions.
She lied on a radio interview that her mother is South African woman from the amaZulu nation but she couldn't speak a single word of isiZulu. She said she was born in Soweto, Soweto is a very big area and she couldn't tell exactly where in Soweto she was born. In all her profiles on social media she only had Mozambican and Nigerian flags, never a South African flag. when people questioned her on that she called them haters but she never ever put up a SA flag.
What I love about America is if you are born here you are an American. To punish her for what her mother allegedly did is ungodly. Thank God we don’t have this stupid rule or we would not have a Kamala Harris.
Yea and still she is an African period. Forget the colonial borders that have been drawn up by the Berlin Conference, we are all Africans on the Mother Continent.
Aunty Fumi, I love and respect you so much. I do however differ with the statement that she is South African based on her never being exposed to her own country. The decision SA made was not personal but factual as everything is comfirmed and not allegedly. Her parents aquired her identity illegally. They stole an innocent SA individuals identity. That is a crime aunty Fumi, we didn't loose. The innocent mother and her children who no one really talks about is the real victim. Aunty Fumi, please do mention how sad the victims experience was and still is. Let us highlight that, consequences Aunty Fumi. We would never hate Chichi but know if you found in a stolen vehicle, you get arrested. They dont let you go cause you didn't know. The police who arrested you are also not being ugly but just doing what is law.. what is right Aunty Fumi. We truly lost nothing, if anything a spot that a real SA could have filled. Also, clarity again, she was not born in SA Aunty Fumi. I am sorry but I hope my comment does not sound rude Aunty Fumi. Plot twist..how the Nigerians didn't want her attending Ms Nigeria was the funniest 🤣
You must feel sorry for South African woman who lost the identity because of illegall foreigners who forcefully impose themselves to our country in the name of we are Africans.while they left their sovereign nations because of unethical and incompetent government leadership failing to deliver socio-economic development for its people so South Africans cannot carry this burden enough is enough.

It's the receipts for me🔥🔥.... you're indeed a force to reckon with!
💯
😅 Which?
Thank you ❤🇿🇦
Well said, thank you
Well said thank you🇿🇦🇿🇦 Just to add on that this case is still under investigation, Chidimma was not born in South Africa but was raised in South Africa and her mother is Mozambican and father is Nigerian not other way around.
Can we focus on the victims who suffered because of this identity theft for now please.
People don't understand..victims are considered. But this girl did not commit the crime
Yes you are right but we cant unite through crime and lies
Curious……How do you have white South Africans? Neither of their parents are South African! Duh.

How do i like this many times?i love Fumi but no not on this one aunty, NOOO what about the other kid vele?
South Africans love Chichi the only problem is that there's a kid whose life is miserable for having her identity stolen. Really sad😢

Hi Fumi, actually her mother is Mozambiquecan and she stole someone identity
Rules and laws must be respected at all times. It will never be okay to disregard the rules in the name of morality. In doing so there is a danger of creating anarchy. I for one will not want to see my country go through that.
Aunty Fumi South Africa loves you sooo much. 🇿🇦❤️
And I just hate how this topic has shifted from shading light about a problem South Africa has which is identity theft to Africans quarrelling about race etc..
We are a true definition of what a rainbow nation is; you can see the unity and love/PRIDE that we have from being a diverse nation; be it sport, music etc…
Before we knew it, we were being called Afriphobic and Xenophobic without even taking 1 minute; to ASK how are the victims of identity theft/fraud doing?.

Well said, but they are choosing to look the other way .Imagine

As a future queen, stand out for truth, unity, economy, and social issues.❤
Unbiased comments from celebrities and influential individuals could help. Let's tackle this story with full responsibility, considering the impact on future generations and reputation risks. It seems Chichi has already been given the crown, but how do the other contestants feel? Is that fair? No. Is this a genuine competition or just a tick mark practice now!

Enkosi mntase ❤🇿🇦
Sister Fumi, what about the victims of identity theft? Everyone is avoiding this
I’m like really they just ignoring it
@Fumi I fully support globalisation and I’m one of those who were rooting for Chidima, but the SA department of Home Affairs came saying they had evidence that her mom may have stolen a SAn lady’s identity. Thank you 🙏

I'm glad Nigeria has provided her with new opportunities and I really hope she heals from this tough experience and finds her joy.
her parents are to blame for the problems she is having. I don't know why people want us to feel a certain way but the law is the law.
Well put my fellow SATA. 🇿🇦
South Africa has its laws which should be upheld. Father Nigerian, mother Mozambique and stolen identity for 23 years and not even one of you has sympathy for the family’s identity that was stolen and lives ruin. So disgusting and disappointing that Fumi also endorses this when she knows there was fraud committed but now she says it’s free PR that South Africa didn’t know😮
This girl is arrogant she couldn’t even issue a statement and apologising to her followers for what happened and assure them that the authorities are looking into the matter and herself didn’t know what was happening.
Thank you, yonyanyisa kakhulu xa nosisi abadala kangaka bengafuni uthetha inyaniso.

I’m reading comments they don’t at all how deep is this the own of that identity can’t do anything in her life her life is stacked
I LOVE YOU SO MUCH SOUTH AFRICA 🇿🇦
FROM MOZAMBIQUE 🇲🇿 ♥
Love this, and it's facts💯❤️
@@LolaBugzy85kenyeans arresred south african refugees in kenya during apartheid even if the rufugee had documents.you are equally xenophobic
First read the comments made by SAs in regards to Chichi on other platforms. You'll be surprised at the real hatred directed at her.
No SA does not love anything African, they only love whites and whiteness
As a South African ... it doesnt make sense to call Chidima a Foreigner whilst we have Whites who are said to be citizens in Our African continent... I'm not being racist at all ,I am trying to highlight the fact that we are being divided. Chidima my girl , The world will not be able to contain your greatness.❤
@@RSY873reverse racism is also racism, hypocrites.
Indeed I find it absolutely heartbreaking the xenophobia against us, Africans!
I grew up boycotting everything Apartheid related 😔
Do white people still Innocent children's Identity too Mami?
This line of thought is axactly what irritates me to the core! You cannot condone CRIMINALITY on the basis that we have whites in South Africa. We are not going to be emotionally black mailed into warped pan- Africanist ideals that are based on the acceptance of foreigners committing crime in this country. The girls mother stole the identity of a KZN woman who has suffered for years around the legalities of this. Stop this nonsense!
Hi my gorgeous Aunty Fumz, watching you from 🇿🇦
We do not hate Chichi, but the fact is we are tired of the havoc caused by Nigerians in South Africa. Actually we are rooting for her to win Miss Nigeria.
And what havoc have Nigerians caused?
Hmmmm
Yes she must go win there.
Please enlighten us , what havoc?
Ohh please
Thank you my sister Fumi. Words of wisdom. I give you all the respect my dear. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽💯💯💯💯💯😍😍😍😍😍😍🙏🏽🙏🏽
The issue here we are trying to be sentimental. A crime was committed we are trying to clean our system and they will always be casualties. Even the home affairs officials must face the law
Wow!! Finally !!!Your comment is mature n fair. The problem started when Chidimas mother saw an opportunity to commit a crime from a South African.
The new work for identity fraud is xenophobia
Wow😮
Point of correction..the mother is allegedly Mozambican, claiming to be South Africa.
Chidimma is stunning, absolutely gorgeous!
We love you in South Africa..
You covered this with grace as a South Africa. My Queen
Why are ppl trying to rewrite our countries laws instead of obeying our countries laws like normal ppl....I will say it again , in SA you DON'T get citizenship just because you are born in SA ...at least one of your parent must be south africans ....
Changing the laws for them, that's what they want
Thank you, they are shocked that we don't do things their way and they have this thing of wanting to label SA'ns as hateful.
It’s very upsetting. 😢
Understandable that being born there doesn't make her a citizen ( cause citizenship can be bought). But isn't she a S.African national if she was born there ?
Facts

Yes for the South African mother and daughter, whose identities have been stolen by Chici and her mom.

Your opinion on the issue is my favorite so far
Cause it's not all about who is right or wrong
It's more about staying United as Africans
God bless you forever ma'am 🙏🏼🙏🙏
You can be united and still do right and in unity if you won't listen and respect each other that unity is null and void and in marriage it leads to divorce
That's why I love her so much
This is the most sensitive and empowering perspective I’ve seen on this controversy. We do not need to be divided against ourselves as Africans. It serves us no good purpose. We only lose when we do that. Thank you Aunty Fumi for the reminder.

I'm South African and I have just heard the greatest news ever!!! Did you say that you're coming over???🎉❤ can't wait
Perhaps the same girl could never enter the same pageant because she is an Alien in her own country
much respect to you my Queen👑 I was really waiting on you and you didn't disappoint ❤❤🙏🇬🇭
She was never robbed, a South African citizen was robbed by her parents actions.

You forgot to mention the identity theft and you really should stop coming here
She lied on a radio interview that her mother is South African woman from the amaZulu nation but she couldn't speak a single word of isiZulu.
Well...good for you and her.
Stunning words Aunty Fumi ... Really inspiring and motivating.... 🇿🇦

So well said. she's positively beautiful and God has big plans for her. Africa should not have visas between the countries. Agreed! Wonderful video.
I feel sorry for her because she is now paying the mistakes by her mother😢😢😢
There are many of them.
