I used to be a key guy at an Ace Hardware, my best work was someone coming in with a key that snapped into 2 pieces, told them I'll give it a shot...they came back some time later and said the key I made worked great....honestly one of my proudest moments in my life!
POLKA - We still have Polka music on KFIZ in Fond du Lac with Jerry Schneider. It's on from 9am to noon every Saturday morning on KFIZ AM1450. Also, I remember waking up Sunday mornings before church and on the television would be couples dancing to polka music. ☺
I was a "Key guy" and had a tweaker come in with his boss's key ring asking for a full set. I duplicated the useless keys and mis-cut the important ones. I took his drug money knowing he won't come back in to challenge the bad cuts :)
What’s scary is if they had a robot machine (and he was with it enough) he could’ve copied all of his boss’s keys. This is another reason why we will always need a key cutter.
Thanks for including the tow truck guys but we're now called operators cuz everything's on a flatbed mostly so we're hauling not towing. But I appreciate the shout out we need more recognition. From the one of the worst states in the union commiefornia
With 2 weeks paternity, expecting time for golf doesn't make you a bad dad... it makes you a dick husband. First 2 weeks after my first child was born, I couldn't even drive because I had a c-section. Couldn't leave the second level of our house for the first week... so I was dependent on my husband to make me food and drive me and baby for Dr appointments. Take the time to give your wife the support she needs, especially during the first couple of weeks.

You also need that person that can cut glass and fix screens because nothing is worse than having to send in a frame to have a screen made when it’s 900°. Someone who will assemble lawnmowers, grills, and bicycles. A few basic grocery things so you don’t have to go to two different stores. For example, a cooler with milk in it and other things like bread and toilet paper. That way you can spend the whole day at the hardware store when you were actually just sent out to pick up a gallon of milk.
Omg I never thought about it until reading the title Bars are churches. I know of a church that meets at a movie theater so why not a bar. I took a class in college and meet at a bar each week so again why not.
Myles - I think your wife will want you to golf, maybe everyday! Just kidding....... Babies sleep a lot, then they eat, poop, and sleep again unless they are colicky. PS - The mother is pregnant - not the man. I hate when people say "we are pregnant!" That's just my opinion, of course. Please be helpful and make meals, rub her back and feet, let her take a nap......bring flowers, do the laundry - let her rest. She seems like a lovely wife and I know you will be a wonderful father - also be a wonderful husband!

Do you guys consider Missouri as Midwest? I grew up in Illinois, vacationed in Iowa every year, visited family in Wisconsin, moved to Missouri for school and stayed here. I still vacation in Iowa and go grocery shopping at the Amish stores there. We pretty much have all the same things you talk about, except ice fishing (that I know of), plus people aren't too polite here. I'm not saying I'm a fan of Missouri, just feel that it fits the bill.
I have to add to the idea of Missouri being Midwest. It is a "fly-over" state, so you got that goin' for ya. The people "not being too polite" kinda made me think. When I left NoDak at 19, for Indiana, I felt the people there were more personable than my retail customers in Fargo. I ultimately think YOU are Midwest. Do you think the peeps around you behave Midwest? A lot of southern influence is there.
@@brockryan3405nah, you're right. I do feel Midwest, wherever I am. But I've been in MO for 10 yrs now and it's never fully felt right. There is is A LOT of southern mannerisms here, some good, some terrible. That's why we've decided to start working on moving to MN soon.

It doesn't make you a bad dad to ask to go golfing. It just shows you haven't been a dad yet. You will love to be with your baby boy! You wont give a crap about golf for those 2 weeks. Also, delivery, recovery and establishing nursing for your wife will be difficult. She may come home from the hospital with a dislocated hip, stitches, or something else. She will be sleep deprived. Adjusting to life out of the womb for the baby will also be difficult. Breast feeding will be painful at first for your wife if she goes that rout. I had to take my babies to the doctor daily for weigh in's to make sure they were maintaining weight in the first week. Just cook, clean, cuddle, burp, diaper and help everyone heal and adjust. If you get to scoot out for a couple hours a week call it a win. Anne is giving birth to a baby, not an 8 year old you can take golfing.
He’s only asking to golf once a week I think that’s fine. I know I had three boys & when I was a new mom getting my husband out of my hair for a couple hours was just fine with me.
