  • Wireless remote control for the winch and hydraulic tilt on this PJ Hydraulic Quick Tilt trailer. The remote is a Pilot PL-SW29 which can be found at the local auto parts store. This unit is not plug and play but is very simple to install as you can see by watching the video. Simple hand tools and wiring supplies are needed. You will love this controller.

What size is your tool box that the hydraulic pump sits in?

I did the same exact setup and it works beautiful same trailer same way in works exactly as he shows the only thing I did different was I wired all the wires to the battery instead of running them to the winch and running them to the hydraulic pump to call for wires directly to the battery little easier

I have the same trailer and was thinking about adding a winch. Did you guys do anything special with the power cords for the winch. They have to be long enough to accommodate the tilt but what happens when the trailer is down. Is the excess wire length an issue? Or not long enough to cause a problem?

I want to do this but im slaightly confused on what you did with all the wires for the pump wires and diods. Also what pins do I switch for the commentary setup?

So I'm doing the same thing but with a different remote....ran into the same problem with the tilt up and down.....where did you find....and what diode did you use? I'm not electronically inclined but have a good idea. I knew this was my problem just not how to fix it.

I have been using this system to operate the my wheelchair lift and doors for about 10 years. The problem with the unit is the remote. If it lost or broken you must replace the system. Pilot does not sell replacment remotes. What I have done, is keep a new unit (I have one on hand just for this event) and simply replace the unit, the black box, untilizing the same wiring, and get back on the road. I am hearing now that Pilot ships these units without jumpers so you can not set it up for momentary, just on/off. Does anyone know what frequency the remote operates on, 433 MHz, 315 MHz? I would like to clone my lastest units remote before it goes kaput!

Where did you get those storage boxes? Or did they come with the trailer?

Yes, Ive lost the on off slide while swapping the battery, but can still turn it off and on by the actual switch with my fingernail.

What did you inside the box to remove the latch on? So it's just push and hold?
