I hope you get a kick out of this comment. I've been binging your AoS playthroughs for a couple of days now, this has to be like the 5th, and this is the first I found where you actually teach it. I've been having a blast. Thank you! 19JAN2022

Teaching was fine, better than most overviews. Good job, yet again.

This stuff is great. I feel like I understand the game after your quick 30 min teach. And people say this game is hard to learn!

    Hi guys.
Thanks so much for this run through. I just recently did the debate between Steam vs Age of Steam. I ended up going with Steam just because I prefer the slightly more friendly nature of the game.
However the maps for AOS make me really jealous, I wish the human body one was still in print.
Anyway, thanks again. Great run through.

A good tactical tip you can give (during play not before playing) to newbies is instead of building like @48:22 you have the option to build 1 track out of Black2 and just 2 out of White1, that way nobody can "steal" your entrance into that city and at worst they could only increase the cost of your last track lay by 1$ (3$ instead of 2$).

Replacing track with a complex-crossing costs 3$, laying down a complex-crossing tile directly (nothing previously built) costs 4$.

Just curious if I understood the rules correctly... did purple miss a 5 point delivery at the end?
purple cube from the top right 6>3>G>2>1>2(using yellow track)>3
That would have been 5 for purple, one for yellow I think

Looks like he had that one and C to F for 5 to purple and 1 to green. So he could have had more on both last deliveries.

What edition of aos is this? What edition would you recommend?

Actually, in a perfect world, you'd finish with 3$ or less @38:14 If you had 4$ you could have taken one fewer loan (-5$) and paid 1$ less in dividends (+1$) = 0$ in your coffers.
