3 mm gap for welding.On the all penetration joint should be 3-4 mm gap for root welding

Pipe elbow length calculation formua such:
Elbow length in mm = Tan(Elbow Angle/2) x Elbow Radius in mm OR Tan(Elbow Angle/2) x 38.1 x Nominal pipe size (with inches size)
