I love seeing you guys put so much effort into your music. I absolutely can't wait for the third installment! You guys always seem to have so much fun. It realize is kind of amazing to think something as devastating as WW2 was only a few generations ago. My grandfather served in the Pacific Theater (I'm American). I look forward to more vlogs!
Thank you so much for saying that! It is great to hear that our fans and followers appriciate the work we put into our media channels and are with us ever step of the way of creating our new music!
And again, as in the case of Anastasia Romanova, Dianne takes the story of a little girl, only this time the situation is even more tragic. Clever Dianne, never afraid to risk
So thrilled that you are gonna do chapter 3 about this wonderful Anne....I read her diary several times and everytime i felt like losing my best friend...Thanks already for doing this chapter, if anyone can make this special, it must be you Dianne and ExLibris.
Really loving the vlogs! I knew which Ann you were going to choose for this chapter! I really cannot wait for it to come out and see what you will create. As most of every person who lives in Europe, the atrocities of WWII and what the nazis did to people is something that I have learnt from a young age, and it's just heartwrenching what happened to a lot of victims. I remember going to the Ann Frank Huis several times starting in primary school and reading her book, but also talking with many survivors, even going to the camp in Brendonk when we were in our last years of secondary school and I felt really sick during the tour... The atmosphere was just horrible, and with the commentary, it was even worse. It was also one of the few instances where noone in our classes acted silly. It does mean a lot to me that you write songs about that era (and Ann's heartbreaking story), and particularly in the current climate in politics, because I feel like people are kind of forgetting what happens when you let the door open to extremism, even more so when you see that, in Flanders, the Vlaams Belang (far right party in the Dutch-speaking part of Belgium that is the direct descendant of the party that welcomed the Nazis with open arms during WWII and still has the same ideology of hate) has become the second party in that part of Belgium (in Wallonia, it's the far-left that has risen a bit, but nothing as dramatic as the VB in the North), and threatens to be able to have an important role in our federal government. Sorry for going on a little political tangent, but it's important to remember and not make the same mistakes, even more so when the history is still so fresh. And as I said, I'm reaaaaaally excited for that last chapter to come out!
I am so excited to see how you will all put together this Anne's story, and have the utmost confidence that you will honor her life through your music. What you said about the story of the Second World War becoming a distant memory to younger generations has been something that I've thought about in recent years (my grandparents met and fell in love through the War, though their story was in another part of the world). Thank you for sharing your passion for music, for history, and for not only entertaining us, but for also informing us. Ex Libris has become one of my top bands in this past year, and I look forward to seeing you all succeed!
Hi Jazmine, thank you so much for your message and your support! Your grandparents must have (had) a very special story to tell and we do hope that with our chapter 3 theirs will somehow stay alive as well!
I absolutely love Dianne's speaking voice.
