At no point, ever, can I recommend TicWatch. I've owned three and they simply do NOT update them (as you stated). I sold the 5 and went for the Oneplus watch 2. The quality is up to 97% of the Ticwatch 5, but at least there's a chance that it will receive updates. Battery life is also excellent and when you lift your arm, it actually wakes up.
Their web specs state 'Wear OS 3.5'. Oh. Oneplus is using Wear OS 4.
All comes down to your priorities. If frequent updates are a must have, this is definitely not the watch for you. I can't say I've had the issue with it not waking up, but after a day or so I always end up turning off lift to wake anyways. You might have missed it in the video, but I talked about how they are ramping up for a Wear OS 4 beta for the old model. Hopefully that means it's coming soon to both of them.
@@scaryifliteral The promises! They made promises and their Facebook group STILL has people asking them to update the 3 Ultra. If they DO update this watch to Wear OS 4, I would consider it. Until then, no way. Trust has gone.
Still, the devices ARE solid and they're probably the best out there for Wear OS.
The only real choices for a WearOS watch is Samsung, Google or OnePlus. In that order.
I'd go Google, Samsung, TicWatch, OnePlus at this moment. None are bad though.
I getting the ticwatch Pro 5 or 3. I like the dual always on display. I like the long battery life that's something that Samsung and OnePlus and that trash pixel don't give you.
It eventually get updates I heard the 5 is getting updates. I even seen some TH-camrs who have Google assistant on the tick watch pro 5, but I don't really care about that as long as I get my notifications and I got a lot of features and it gives me at least three or four days battery life that's what I'm looking for.
I'll stick with my OnePlus watch 2. It's on wearOS 4 already. Ticwatch doesn't update their watches very well at all. Even this is launching with wearOS 3.5 when wearOS 5 is getting ready for release 😂
A big part of the problem actually lies on Google. Google removed support for Mobvoi watches to receive certain features. Mobvoi is a Chinese company and unfortunately the USA is Anti-China again and has decided to force companies like Google to not support Chinese manufacturers.
No point upgrading if having the TicWatch 5 Pro already. Will wait for the 6. Sounds a bit pointless to launch such a similar product.
Yeah but it makes me wish I would have waited to get the TicWatch 5 Pro. Ugh, it figures they would come out with one that has a Saphire Crystal glass screen. :(
Yet despite this new device coming out, they STILL haven't updated their watches.
I've had enduro for 3 weeks. And I'm not completely satisfied. NFC payments sometimes work, sometimes not. Activity recording is the same. Rejecting calls doesn't work.
I wonder if they've fixed that issue I had with third party watchfaces in this one...

@@scaryifliteral Looks about the same, but thank you for testing! Might just be a TicWatch thing...
