“The Lord of me, And the God of me “ is how this is said to be the correct translation from original. This verse is a stumper for many a many. I see it this way, Thomas didn’t believe Jesus, ( called him a liar technically)... Jesus was kind with Thomas. Trinity folks have their gotcha moment when Jesus doesn’t respond to the Lord /God statement. Is it the psalm from the lxx? Is this a corruption because Luke has the account of the apostles seeing Jesus all at the same time????? It’s a good thought that Thomas is seeing the Father in Jesus here. Seeing that Jesus is not the Father in the Trinity it doesn’t help them any. I think Thomas was happy and just yelled out the psalm, in praise of God raising Jesus from Dead.
@@michaelbruce9197 seems to me to be a forgery, that entire upper room scene that is. Why? Because Many Scriptures point to Him after resurrection going to Galilee (Matt 26:32, Mark 14:28, Matt 28:10, Mark 16:7 & Matt 28:7) Luke says that Jesus appeared to two disciples who were on their way to Emmaus. One of them was named Clopas. He was invited to their place late on Sunday afternoon. When he broke bread before meal, the two disciples realized that it was Jesus. As soon as they realized this they immediately returned to Jerusalem which was about 10 kilometres from Emmaus. Luke 24:33-43 Luke therefore clearly places Jesus’ first appearance to his disciples on Sunday evening AT JERUSALEM. He says that ALL ELEVEN WERE PRESENT - even though John, who also says that Jesus appeared to his disciples at evening on the “first day of the week” actually says that Thomas was missing. Matthew and Mark however clearly show that Jesus was not in Jerusalem on Sunday evening but was rather in Galilee and therefore he could not have appeared to his disciples in Jerusalem that Sunday evening and he could not have been eating fish that evening. On the night of his arrest, Jesus is quoted by Mark as saying: “But after I’m raised to life, I’ll go ahead of you to GALILEE” [Mark 14:28]. The angel said to the women at the tomb on Sunday morning: “Now go and tell his disciples, and especially Peter, that he will go ahead of you to GALILEE. YOU WILL SEE HIM THERE, JUST AS HE TOLD YOU” [Mark 16:7]. According to the testimony of Mark, Jesus clearly told his disciples that after he is risen from the dead he would go to GALILEE and that is where the disciples were going to see him. Matthew 26:32 also quotes Jesus as telling his disciples that after he is risen from the dead he would go ahead of them to GALILEE: “But after I am risen again, I will go before you into Galilee.” Matthew quotes the angel as saying to the women: “...Now hurry! Tell his disciples that he has been raised to life and is on his way to GALILEE. Go there, and you will see him” [Matthew 28:7]. Jesus himself appeared to the women and said: “Don’t be afraid! Tell my followers to go to GALILEE. They’ll see me there” [Matthew 28:10]. Then in Matthew 28:16 we read the following:“Jesus’ ELEVEN DISCIPLES went to a mountain in GALILEE, where Jesus had told them to meet him.” According to Matthew, the ELEVEN APOSTLES went to GALILEE to a mountain Jesus specified. There, IN GALILEE, the disciples saw Jesus for the first time after his resurrection. The account of Luke therefore cannot be reconciled with the text of Mark and especially that of Matthew.

Tear down this temple and I will rebuild it in 3 days....God's temple, the living tabernacle of congregation and the dwelling place of God our Father is Jesus Christ! Matthew 27:51 (KJV) And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; Why? the Father left the old tabernacle for the new one!!! John 20:17-18 (KJV) Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.
Yes but more than that. Thomas believed what Jesus had told him, that he Jesus, this body of flesh, revealed Thomas' God and Father to him. That's what Jesus was teaching Thomas and his other disciples at John 14:5-11. This is the main thing to learn from the Gospel of John. Human flesh revealed the Father because the Father did His work through that body of flesh for the world to see.
Thank you, this is the clearest explanation of JOHN 20:28, other people talked about Idioms and an article on the word God and other complicated, confusing theories.
Thank you, brother Kel, for this teaching. I am not a trinity believer because I long time ago was told by the Father that Jesus was his son and I believed it. Just that simple, of course most of my Christian friends believed in the Trinity and I could not convince them otherwise, so I kept my Belief system and they kept theirs to this day including my own family. I just thought that anything coming out of Rome like the Reformers that did not break far enough from the Catholic Church could not be believed. Especially if You can't explain it and it makes since. God the Father WANTS PEOPLE TO BELIEVE WHO HE IS AND YOU CAN'T DO THAT IN A TRINITY BELIEF SYSTEM WHEN ALL PAGAN RELIGIONS HAVE A TRINITY COMPLEX. OUR FATHER IS NOT A POLYTHEIS AND THAT 'S WHAT TRINITY DOCTRINE IS. YOU BROTHER KEL HAS HELPED BRING AMMO TO THE SPIRITUAL TABLE.
I love you bro! Thanks! Blessed be our Father who is in the kingdom of the heavens: יהוה האל אבינו YHVH Ha-El Abinu. Thanks to our father’s hand, our Master: זרוע יהוה יהשע עמנואל אדנינו Arms (or hands) of YHVH Yeshua Immanu-El our Master
This is an interesting way of looking at the scripture. Using so called trinitarian 'proof' texts to help them understand that they are not proof texts at all. Of course, the best explanation is simply the concluding two verses of the chapter. If ever there was a time for John to spell out a new teaching that Jesus was God Almighty or YHWH , this was it . But No ! what does he say? All these things were written that you should believe that Jesus is the CHRIST, the SON of God. The clear message of the gospels and Acts is that Jesus is the promised Messiah and that God raised him from the dead.
JESUS IS THE FATHER! Mark 10:18 "And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God." John 10:11 "I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep." Isaiah 40:11 "He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young."
The Bible says God was in Christ reconciling the world unto himself there are so many verses that clearly distinguished the two. The Bible also says nobody has seen God at any time so leads me to understand that Jesus is the image of God because he is the only begotten son of the father.
See John 14:5. I noticed you didn't mention that. Thomas said to him, “Lord, we do not know where you are going, how do we know the way?” Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through me. If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you know Him and HAVE SEEN HIM.”

Do you believe Jesus is the Father brother Kel or no? I’m trying to understand your full stance since we for sure know the Trinity is false! I personally don’t believe Jesus is the father either
How are "all things" by JESUS without Him being a Deity? Why do we worship The Lamb in Revelation? 1 Cor. 8:5-6 For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,) But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him. Rev. 1:8 “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”
Thomas saw the resurrected Jesus, in the same body that he was crucified with, but no longer a body of flesh and blood, but a body of flesh and bone. No longer in the sinful state that every man is born with since Adam, but now in the glorious divine state or nature that God the Father and the angels in heaven possess. And he will return to resurrect the saints and potentially share his victory with them too, if they walked accordingly. To see the Father is of course to see the Father...to see a heavenly angel is to see the Father...and to see the resurrected immortalised Jesus is also to see the Father. And hopefully one day to look at me will be to see the Father!
What is the difference between a body of flesh and blood and a body of flesh and bone? Are they not the same thing? I don't k ow about you, but I have a body of flesh, blood and bone. Maybe that makes me special ?

You are used to saying omg that's why you will say so. The Jews and including Thomas never use their God's name in vain or even say omg. Yours is a habit. And I'm sure you will not say, ' my friend and my God as well.
So you think it is perfectly fine for a believer to walk up to a believer and say “you are my god”? If you don’t say yes you’re entire argument is invalid
I'm afraid you are mistaken. It isn't perfectly fine to say to a believer "you are my god" and neither did Thomas say "you are my god" to Jesus. Rather, he confessed exactly what Jesus had taught him, "He who has seen ME has seen THE FATHER." According to Jesus himself, Thomas saw the Father at John 20:28 because he who has seen Jesus has seen the Father. Or do you disagree with Jesus?
The Trinity Delusion so Jesus sent the Holy Spirit with the Father and says anything asked in his name he will do (meaning he must be omniscient) that’s what Jesus says in that sermon. But how can Jesus be the one who sends the Spirit that proceeds from the Father if he himself is not God? Also in Philippians 2:5-11 Paul explicitly says Our God Jesus Christ though he was equal with God didn’t take it as something to be grasped he humbled himself that’s why he says “The Father is greater than I” also in the testament the term “God” is used almost exclusively of the Father and the term “Lord” is used almost exclusively of the LORD Jesus Christ. But would you say the Father is not YHWH? Of course you wouldn’t that’s not what the writer are implying but you say Jesus is not God even though that is not what the Bible is saying. Also this argument doesn’t make sense because the belief being talked about is the belief Jesus rose bodily from the dead not that the Father was seen through Christ instead Thomas believing Jesus has risen from the dead and had power over death proclaims “My Lord and my God” Jesus not rebuking him as the disciples of Yeshua did when they were lauded with such praise Jesus commends him for that statement and for believing Jesus was risen from the dead and doesn’t as much as mention him believing that the Father has been seen by Thomas through him you are just reading Unitarianism into the text. I see your point but you do realize how reading this still doesn’t take away the trinitarian validity or even strengthen your case. This scripture doesn’t degrade the position of Jesus if anything it strengthens it. Trinitarians believe Jesus came to serve his Father by being obedient and showing us how to follow him. If your trying to argue against trinitarian belief tackle the Holy Spirit and his characteristics of having emotions and choosing who he gives the spiritual gifts to. Which is a difficult stance to take since you stand on him not being a person. I.E grieving the Holy Spirit, Jesus speaking of the Holy Spirit as a person who was unknown but now will be known, how blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is even worse than blaspheming the Father or Son being called the unforgivable sin, Holy Spirit inspiring scripture, Holy Spirit speaking himself, the Holy Spirit even inspects God himself . All these can be found in scripture. The one who is, the one who was, the one who is to be ( all these 3 apply to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit otherwise why would it say in the end of Matthew baptized in the name of (singular all three of them unless they share one name)Proving these things would make a case for trinitarian’s being wrong because the divinity of Jesus is proven true through the Holy Spirit. People please read your bibles man will lead you astray but God will not. Don’t follow a religion follow what God has shown you. That’s not to say to throw the baby out with the bath water. Some people have good teachings but different beliefs. No church is perfect no teaching is perfect no work is perfect. Paul said it himself that he knows partially but in the future he will see clearly and know fully just as he is fully known. Jesus was crucified for you to show you how much he loved you. Not a torture stake a cross. John 20:25 Thomas asked to see the imprints of the nails( multiple) on his hands specifically never asked for his feet. Torture stake would only need 1 nail on the hand.
It is exactly because I am reading my Bible and don’t follow a religion but decided to follow God that he has shown me the error of the trinity doctrine. The only way to follow the trinity doctrine is by accepting this mystery dogma created by the church. It was not from God, it is not the truth. It is a man made formula to try and differentiate (notice) church christianity from the actual faith that early believers held. Why? The church drew up theological battle lines to appease the state and in the process created a man made doctrine to ensure it's unity. It was a intellectual power play. Nothing more.

That there is no such thing as father and son but is just the same being now portraying as the son. That by saying the father is in me and I’m in the father is proof that they are same being. At least that what he is trying to convince me of. But scripture is clear and he doesn’t like it. I’m praying for him and me so we can both learn out of our conversations
This doesn’t explain why Jesus identify himself as: alpha and omega the first and the last the beginning and the end. “I AM” “US” and “OUR” Paul the church prosecutor become a follower of Christ. Jesus bother James also believed that Jesus is God. we pray in Jesus name. Jesus is the judge. Jesus is the way the truth and the life. John 1:1-15 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. 6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. 8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. 9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. 10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. 11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. 15 John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me. Jesus is the way the truth and the life. Jesus is LORD! Forever and ever.
Yes, HE is the way to the Father so that we might know the Father for eternal life, Jesus who came in the name of his Father, to represent the Father, on the Father's behalf, to carry out the will of the Father by speaking the Father's words and doing the Father's works. Indeed, it was the Father who was abiding in the man Jesus who did the works. The Father did not leave him alone but was always with him because without the Father he was able to do nothing. Men of Israel, listen to these words: Jesus the Nazarene, a man attested to you by God with miracles and wonders and signs WHICH GOD DID through him in your midst. Acts 2:22

On the night of his arrest, Jesus is quoted by Mark as saying:
“But after I’m raised to life, I’ll go ahead of you to GALILEE” [Mark 14:28].
The angel said to the women at the tomb on Sunday morning:
“Now go and tell his disciples, and especially Peter, that he will go ahead of you to GALILEE. YOU WILL SEE HIM THERE, JUST AS HE TOLD YOU” [Mark 16:7].
According to the testimony of Mark, Jesus clearly told his disciples that after he is risen from the dead he would go to GALILEE and that is where the disciples were going to see him. Matthew 26:32 also quotes Jesus as telling his disciples that after he is risen from the dead he would go ahead of them to GALILEE: “But after I am risen again, I will go before you into Galilee.”
Matthew quotes the angel as saying to the women:
“...Now hurry! Tell his disciples that he has been raised to life and is on his way to GALILEE. Go there, and you will see him” [Matthew 28:7].
Jesus himself appeared to the women and said:
“Don’t be afraid! Tell my followers to go to GALILEE. They’ll see me there” [Matthew 28:10].
Then in Matthew 28:16 we read the following:“Jesus’ ELEVEN DISCIPLES went to a mountain in GALILEE, where Jesus had told them to meet him.”
According to Matthew, the ELEVEN APOSTLES went to GALILEE to a mountain Jesus specified. There, IN GALILEE, the disciples saw Jesus for the first time after his resurrection. The account of Luke therefore cannot be reconciled with the text of Mark and especially that of Matthew.

Awsome! Thanks brother Kel for the good news👍
By seeing Jesus the Christ , He believe there was a God of Jesus Christ .

I have had this very argument with people.
Mark 10:18
"And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God."
John 10:11
"I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep."
Isaiah 40:11
"He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young."
Since there is only one true God to refer to, at Mark 10:18, was Jesus referring to HIS God?
The Bible says God was in Christ reconciling the world unto himself there are so many verses that clearly distinguished the two. The Bible also says nobody has seen God at any time so leads me to understand that Jesus is the image of God because he is the only begotten son of the father.
At John 14:9-10 Jesus is talking to Phillip! I noticed you didn't mention that.
What's that got to do with you leaving Phillip's name out of the video? Are You trying to confuse people?

When I saw a friend that was missing for years, my reaction was, O my God! Is my friend, God?
Blessed fast of the Dormition to you and your family!
