It’s difficult to say because when the visa is granted it provides you with a nine-month visa. They may hold off granting until the restrictions are lifted otherwise your visa may expire prior to the borders re-opening.

The timeline discrimination between 309 and 300 is really unfair. The very reason we applied for 300 is to get married in Australia with our friends and families attending the event as a holiday. Subclass 300 visa holders are not exempted from the travel restrictions.
