I have the same problem with my 2006 daihatsu sirion. The o/d off light is blinking and there is an acceleration problem. Today I took it to the official service. They cleaned the solenoids, changed the transmission oil and transmission filter. But I still have the same problem 😢
@@mizzmyvipasso5972 Yeah they did. They told me that if the problem continues, they will have to make a gearbox restoration. Actually, the problem starts after driving the car for a while. After a few kilometres, the O/D-Off light flashes and the car has a very difficult time shifting to the next gear. When it shifts, it skids forwards. When I stop the car and shift the gear to N or P position, it recovers after a short time and the yellow flashing light goes out. When travelling on a long road, I have to stop the car, put it in N, wait for a while and then continue. I don't know what to do :(
@@murock34 I don't think you need gearbox restoration. When O/D-off light flashes the ECM will restrict the gearbox function thats normal. Need to know what is the faults code first.
@@mizzmyvipasso5972 They scanned but when o/d off flashing there was not any fault code for the transmission (a/t). They checked two times. They did say that they'll change the 2 gearbox sensors and check it again. I had to go to the same place because in my country only there are a few daihatsu services left, as daihatsu left European region more than 10 years. So repair parts are very hard to find, only in the official services you can find that kind of sensors. So let's see what happens. But anyways, I very appreciate your assistances here. Masa kereta sy keluar OD, pomen terus cakap mungkin timing chain & kena turun gear box. Tapi sy "rasa" gear box ok xde masalah, pertukaran gear ok, pick up ok, jd tak mungkin masalah besar mcm tu. OD yg pertama, try check gear box sensor - lepas tukar terus ok. OD ke 2, ingat sensor gear box lg tapi beli scanner terus scan knock sensor faulty pulak. Selepas tukar sampai skrg ok semua.

@@murock34 Did they mention the fault code? Try go to another workshop to have the car scan again. What year is your car?
