Aquaponics farming in rural Nepal

As part of our "Building Climate Resilience Through Aquaponics in Rural and Peri-Urban Areas of Nepal" project, that has been selected under Asian Disaster Preparedness Center - ADPC iCARE Innovations Fund, we have successfully installed household aquaponic farming systems in the selected households of Bhardev village, Konjyosom Rural Municipality, in partnership with Gupteshwori Women's Cooperative.
This project brings customized low-tech user friendly aquaponics technology to the community, seamlessly combining fish farming and soilless plant cultivation into a sustainable system. This setup not only provides fresh, local produce but also promotes food security and a circular economy.
This achievement is a testament to the dedication and hard work of everyone involved, esp representatives from the Gupteshwori Women's Cooperative, the Ward No. 5 office and the Konjyosom Rural Municipality!
