Hi Craig, aside from the baton preventing the insulation from pushing on the membrane, no we didn't put any finish onto it. In hindsight we should've to stop rodents and other pests nesting in there! That said, it's actually been very useful to leave it as it is to run the electric cables and in a couple of weeks to fit the waste and water pipes which saves peeling back the boarding on the walls. Keeping in mind this is our first pod sp it's quite the learning process, hopefully when we do the second I can give a much better breakdown and tips to build it!
The Monners Thanks for reply great videos and its a learning curve, probably will need something as I suspect rats / bugs will get in there. Look forward to seeing it finished
@@101Houghton Craig Gill No problem! I'm glad you've enjoyed them so far and thanks for subscribing! Yes it certainly is! We can always lift it up with the telehandler and put some sort of cladding down if need be. I'll look into that once we get all the plumbing sorted.
Hi, just a little advice, you have put the insulation in wrong, your not supposed to compress it or squash it, it gets its value from being fully expanded. that cavity is meant to be filled with no space for air, just insulation. anyway, hope it all turned out well
Hi Lee, thanks for your comment, Yeah.. Looking back I realise that I did put the insulation in pretty poorly...! (to say the least) Luckily however, next week we will be completing the kitchen area, lifting the pod and fixing the insulation and chipboard to stop vermin!
Hello. What thickness board did you use ? Can you use other board like ply ? Or is chipboard best. Thanks
How much for one of those? What size is that?
Does the bottom get any finish on it or is it just left with the membrane?
