I'm assuming the strength of the Thai bhat could be one of the contributing factors for the lack of visitors! In Australia we say, (Don't Forget The Aerogard) / Insect repellent!

How does it compare to Koh Chang? Personally I didn’t like Koh Chang. The roads were so bad. We found ourself restricted to where we could travel within certain times
It's getting everywhere expensive in Thailand. On a remote island, 150 Baht for a cocktail, 250 Baht for a 20 minute drive with a Songteaw. No wonder it's quiet!
Visited Samet in 2022. Stayed at the same hotel you stayed at and also enjoyed the english breakfast at the same place you visited. Can recomend both. Did a morning walk up the coast for breakfast and to get supplys from the 7/11 for the day and baht bus back down. As someone who will not ride a scooter the pickup truck pricing is high if you are travelling solo.
Due to Martin being sick this video is in replacement. I'm not currently in Koh Samet and this video was made 10 days ago over a 3 night break i had.
