Bacarrat rouge comparisons have taken the place of la vie est belle! I remember when before BR540 everyone described EVERY sweet scent as similar to LVEB or Flowerbomb 😂

I love BR540….BUT I am Anosmic to it!! Five minutes after applying BR540 I can’t smell it at all! I’ve tried spraying different amounts….same result - no smell. My friends can smell it on me, but I want to smell my fragrance all day. Pauline mentions if you can’t smell BR540 you should be able to smell this one. Can’t find a TESTER anywhere, so I might just bite the bullet and buy a full size Montale Arabians Tonka. It sounds sooooo beautiful.

I love it too lol...and I don't mind that many people don't discuss it. I never thought it smelled BR540 at all, but, I sprayed it while listening to you and I can see people saying that. This is more complex than BR540. I also think it lasts longer than BR540. I could never choose a favorite from my fragrances. I do like the note description a lot. I have the $600 bottle of BR540....it isn't the best smelling fragrance that I have or have smelled.
I am gonna love it, as all the others Montales i have🥰

I feel like im the only person that doesn’t like BR 540 🤷🏼♀️ so its hard to judge if I would like some perfumes because people are constantly saying they smell similar to 540 and it turns me off completely.

I bougth two Montale fragrances recently that are worth mentioning in my opinion Aoud Honey and Aoud Melody, sweet, long lasting and beautiful!!

5:13 Since you asked... in the top line of your new "structure" after you list the name of the fragrance you should also always include either EDP or EDT so in scenarios where both versions exist your viewers will be 100% certain of which one to get.

Hello Paulina! I received this perfume yesterday and sprayed it once on my arm to test it. 9 hours passed and it stayed super strong, after I had a shower it stayed on my skin. I only had this experience with Oud for Greatness so I agree this is a bomb. Nevertheless I'd like to know what would you use to make it a tad sweeter being layered, I am thinking about JPG la belle le parfum or vanilla 28, which are your thoughts? I own samples of both Baccarat versions and even though they are in the same scent profile, I feel Baccarat (especially the EDP) is more airy and sweet 🤷♀️ this is my first Montale and blind bought it based on your review amongst others and couldn't be happier. I have the 20 ml bottle and can't think wearing more than 3 sprays of it because it's THAT strong. A non animalic oud yayyy

I know that your are tired of hearing this 😅, but this is a mix between bacarrat in the beggining and intense Cafe in the base. But you are right, this is dense and sweet, not airy like BR.
I just blind bought this online from a department store yesterday! I hope this is distinguishable enough from Baccarat, because i already have a huge bottle of that!

I just blind bought this one off your recommendation. But boy...am I disappointed. My taste in frags matches your's nearly 80% of times but Arabian Tonka really let me down because it's got the very saffron/ animalic oud note that I just dont like. It's nowhere like Baccarat rouge 540 or even Intense Cafe...
As a previous comment has said, I too usually agree with the scents recommended by Paulina and felt based on the review that this was a safe buy but Arabians Tonka is a huge disappointment. As stated, I can smell the DNA of BR540 in it & I adore BR540. However, Arabians Tonka has a very musky, masculine edge to it. I found it really unpleasant and had to wash it off. Unfortunately, I blind bought this - expensive mistake. When will I ever learn?🙄

Arabian Tonka to me is similar to Intense Cafe, without the rose.
To me the dry down is very similar to intense cafe

I bought the sample last year because of this review. Mntale's Arabian Tonka's scent is strong and lasts forever. It is okay but not my preference. I sprayed it on the lamp shade in the guest bedroom on Dec 22, 2021 and even until now Jan 6, 2022, I can still smell the strong scent of it whenever I open the guest bedroom.
This Parfums smells like jod and hospital 😣😣
