I just bought my 2002 shadow 750 ace w 12,000 miles on it today and love it! This is my first bike and I’m taking my course for my license in a few weeks
@@timothyprice9064 I still love it, I haven’t had a single problem with it and have ran some pretty long rides. The only thing I will say is that since this is my first bike and now that I’ve gotten used to it I feel like I’ve grown out of the 750 because i always feel like I need another gear and the power is not there. But overall i would recommend It to anyone. It’s a very reliable and comfortable bike. And some people might not care about having more power but eventually ill probably move to something a little bigger. I got the bike w 12,000 miles and now I have a little over 15 on it
@@timothyprice9064 I am 6 ft and and is weight 165 and it does good with two people. Me and my wife ride and she weighs 140. But I’m not sure how good it would be if you had a heavier set person
@@colebear5674 Thank you, now that I have looked around and found a few reviews I see they can handle two riders with little to no problem. Thank you very much for the information.
Wasn't expecting to run into this vid, but as someone who also rides a 1999 Shadow VT750 ACE i can say you did a great job on the restorations & mods. Paint on the tank indeed gets worn out from years of getting exposed to road dust and gas spills while refilling, so at some point it's e necessary thing to get redone and not difficult to do. Aside from Clutch and Throttle cables needing lubing or getting worn out the bike itself has a damn sturdy engine that hardly ever has issues. 1 recommendation for anyone that owns one would be every 30 000-50 000 km take out the carburetor and give it a good cleaning (best in a ultrasonic bath) and check if the airlines aren't getting cracked and leaking air mixed fuel out.
Funny you should ask. Shortly after filming this my iPhone camera was shook so bad that it no longer worked properly. That mount came with the bike, it was great for putting on my mountain bike or using the GoPro side of it. For a phone though I'd go with a sturdier mount that's actually meant for motorcycles.
@@Realjordanlane that's awesome that I finally got to see another bike like mine. For some reason you just don't see them especially in the candy orange from factory.
Sorry for the late reply! I purchased that on Ebay, it fit perfectly however I did not keep it on. It would've required a jet kit for the carburetor which I wasn't wanting to do. So keep that I mind if you're wanting to buy a spike kit like that one.
@@Realjordanlane I'm 5'11" and 210lb and I think the bike fits me great. My legs bend a lot when I'm flat footed but nothing wrong with that other than doing handle bar lock turns my knees get in the way.
Late response but you have a keen ear lol. The cone did make it worse, I had to put the factory box back on without installing a jet kit. Also the baffles are drilled, not out just 3 1/4 inch holes in the baffle.

Let us know how you feel about the bike now after owning it for a year.

@@colebear5674 If you don't mind me asking? How tall are you and how much do you weigh? How well do you think it would handle two people

Just got my 99’ shadow ace couple days ago, first bike runs great
Phenomenal music choice
i love the seats! excellent job and nice colors
Bike looks great
Nice job on the seats.
How is your phone holding up with the phone mount? I've heard these bikes can vibrate your phone camera to death.

I too have a 02 Honda shadow 750 ace but mines a deluxe. Is yours a deluxe too because what I can see from the video it's almost identical to mine
I checked the VIN on mine and it does say it's a deluxe so we probably have the same bike!

Where’d you get that air filter assembly?

is it good for a 5’9 rider?
In my opinion, yes! I'm 5'7 and it's perfect for me. I think for anyone over around 6'0 it might be a bit small. But, anyone under it'd be just fine.

Ruined it with music....
These bike run lean from the factory. That cone would make it worse. Sounds like the baffles were out.

@@Realjordanlane ya? I've had an 03 since 02. I know my bike.
Why film in a dark garage?
Because that's all I had at the time. Lighting improvements are being made, thank you for the feedback!
