Shimla Airport is 31.3 km from the Wildflower Resort, and the nearest railway station from the property is Shimla Railway Station at 12.4 km. The nearby bus stop is Mall Road Shimla bus stand at 10 km. It takes approx. 45 minutes from the bus stand to reach the resort.
Wildflower Hall Resort is situated at approximately 8,000 feet overhead sea level in Charabra and the vicinity of Shimla Reserve Forest Sanctuary.

HISTORY OF WILDFLOWER HALL, AN OBEROI RESORT, SHIMLA
The first proprietor of Wildflower Hall was G.H.M. Batten, CS, private secretary to Earl Lytton (1876-1880). It was also the much-loved retreat of Lord Ripon. Later, it also functioned as a charming country villa of Lord and Lady Dufferin. The most famous resident of Wildflower Hall was the Commander-in-Chief of the Indian Armed Forces, Lord Kitchener. On 5 April 1993, the property was razed by a fire due to an electrical short circuit. After this incident, The Himachal Pradesh Government formed a joint venture with the Oberoi Hotel Group to rebuild Wildflower Hall as a luxury hotel.

Rooms of Wildflower, Shimla are well-furnished and equipped with all modern conveniences and comforts, like temperature control units, minibars, reading lamps, telephone lines, DVD player, LCD/LED TV, 24-hour butler service, laundry, and housekeeping.
THE RESTAURANT AT THE OBEROI WILDFLOWER HALL IN SHIMLA
Making way for a hearty meal is The Restaurant of this resort. The Restaurant makes sure one has a great dining experience by offering palatable food. The Restaurant has inside and alfresco dining on an open-air terrace with splendid far-reaching sights of the Himalayan mountain region. Lutyens (one of the hotel's two restaurants) is a fine dining Indian restaurant serving dinner only. With a maximum capacity of twenty, this restaurant is picture-perfect for private dinner parties. Wildflower hall has a bar - Cavalry bar - paneled in wood and well-embellished with local and regional original artwork.
