lovely boots, I got my pair in singapore. It does not look like you wore those for 3 years since there is not even a hint of the brown patina coming through. You must have babied them and not worn them outside of formal settings. But they look well taken care of
I want a little more uniform appearance as I often wear this boot with tailoring. This is mainly for the current look, since the more the boot is distressed the more the brown undertone would be revealed from the black klondike upper, my thinking for the teacore leather, welt, midsole ect. is that I would like it to be similar in the way the brown comes out as it looked a little bit too casual and a little bit jarring even. In any case, it is a thin coating of polish and that will easily reveal the brown in due time if you do not reapply using black polish.
The Beckman is nice in that wearers could go either way with them. Just stop using black polish for a while and the brown teacore will start coming out.
I also polish my tea-core boots, often only the front part. Blend better in group photoshoots. Don't be afraid of this , because the tea core can comeback as the wax polish wore off.
You say same size. I heard 0.5 up from your iron rangers, beckmans, blacksmiths (all other 8 lasts). Presumably because of the flat toebox. Care to comment?
i just picked up a pair of 9060 last week in their store in tokyo, i tried my usual size and 0,5 up and in the end i picked my usual size, they are TTS for me
Love the review and love the way you polished them! I also only want to wear these for casual dress up so love the way you polished them
I like how you customized your boots they look sharp.
I often gravitate to wearing such boots when dressing up. Keeping the bunny ears short , for more tidy look.
