I'm just learning about VPN thank you for explaining about split tunneling now I understand why some of my apps don't function properly with the VPN Google Play store doesn't work very good with the VPN on it can't download apps with the VPN on! So now I turn off split tunneling on Google Play store and it works properly again
Hi Bro, I need your help. I have Ubuntu 18.04 on my laptop and it has a VPN configured on it. I think its managed through pfsense I use this VPN to connect to my work environment Now my query is that when I connect to this VPN I am connected to my work network & able to work inside it, but this disconnects the internet connectivity that is working on my base machine. I want internet to be working on my base system as well & also should be able to connect to my work network as lot of websites are blocked inside the work network Can you please tell me what settings I need to do on my laptop to make this work. Kindly help. Thanks & regards,
As I explained in the video, it depends on the service provider. Sometimes it's done on a per-app basis (you choose which apps are encrypted by the VPN) and sometimes it can be done on a URL basis (you choose which URLs get encrypted).

Glad it was helpful!
Little foggy on this all but really needing to figure it out. What of 2 encryptions? One from A VPN program and one from the website??

Hi! Does surfshark support Split-Tunneling?
Yes, it does, but only on Windows and Android devices. It's not possible on iOS or Mac, unfortunately.
Great explanation! Thank you!
My pleasure! Thanks for the kind words.

My bank wants authentication when I go to log in using a VPN. Would split tunneling help? Enjoy your videos.
Thanks, Joe! Yea, split tunneling would likely help here, as would possibly a dedicated IP VPN.
Chrome cast and other services only work on "same nerwork" so only split tunneling makes it work
Clear!
Thanks brother the video makes it easier to understand.
Glad it helped, Clovert!
