A new (technically it’s been a thing for a while) build that I’ve come up with that’s risen with the new update is the “heavy commando”. You run heavy guns but with the recent reduction in AP costs for all heavy guns they’re extremely strong in VATs. You combined the sustained DPS of heavy guns with the massive damage potential of a low health unyielding commando. Yeah you miss out on stabilized but you more than make up for with a huge AP pool and VATs efficiency. This not to also mention the deemphasis on armor penetration recently as well with the reduction in enemy DR values across the board. The lmg is basically just a handmade but with Quad and 1.5 Rapid’s built in for free. Run AA for bosses, Bloodied for mobs. You also source your weapon damage perks from the strength special, meaning your carry weight is superior to a normal commando as well. It’s a do it all build that destroys raids. The new calibrated capacitor on the Gatling plasma really shines on this build in raids against the snake and robot. I’m often out DPS’ing power armor builds because I can loiter in VATs because I have 600 AP before consumables.
I was trying to mess with Black Powder Rifles, but there seems to be a bug with black powder weapons, where after you fire and swap weapons, the weapon wont fire. I've also seen this happen even if you finish the reload and swap, and also when you reload and just try to fire the black powder weapon again. Nothing will happen when you pull the trigger. I usually have to swap back and forth a few times before any of my weapons shoot again. Makes the black powder weapons even more useless than they already are.

It’s just the dichotomy in this game. Fallout 76 is not a hard game (even raids are easy) so it makes sense to drop 80% of your health to improve literally every aspect of your game. The hard hitting glass cannon vs the slower tank. The difference is is that there’s still no reason to be full health. Raids didn’t punish low health at all. It actually encourages them because 3 out of the 5 encounters are glorified DPS checks. Raids just revealed how many people don’t know how to play low health.
I don't hate low health, I hate Bethesdas laziness. Berserkers should be +150% damage or more because its much more costly than bloodied. But they'll never learn because the community will never boycott this shit game and Bethesda will keep getting money from the idiots that pay for fallout 1st and atoms.
@ yet here you are playing this game (from the sounds of your game knowledge of it) and commenting on and watching videos about it. A bit comical you’re calling others idiots…
The side effects of diseases are weak and curing them is pretty simple. The biggest impact they have now is they negate thirst quencher and natural resistance perks.
Does Science / Science Expert / Science Master do anything outside of just crafting energy weapons? Wouldn’t it be better to use other Intelligence perks to boost damage and quality of life?
Non FO1st users are at even bigger disadvantage with having limited storage space, especially with all these ppl recommending having multiple sets of armors.
yep. as a none fallout 1st player, I don't have the liberty to store ammo in an ammo box nor can I really afford to put it in my storage box as I have general materials in there. I only have a limited amount of space I can reserve for weapons I want to keep too. It sucks that quality of life is locked behind a paywall, but I shouldn't be surprised because it's Bethesda, different team or not.
This is a half-a** build. Of Course you will not get good results. This is still lazy IMO. Comparing this to raiding makes no sense either as there is no stealth in the raid therefore there is no stealth commando in raid. To be (Bloodied) Stealth commando in the open world either you are all in or you're not a stealth commando (If you want to say you are a lazy one fine w/e). You can't not use all the tools in the kit and say, na it's not working.
Hated those bloodied buildseven before this patch, that gave them massive buffs. Whoever does balance in Bethesda should be fired and replaced with the person who created all those cute teddy bear and garden gnomes scenes. Bethesda really shot themselves in the foot with unyielding effect.
its so stupid how much they buff Bloodied. Unyielding on top of it is just crazy. But also that Bloodied gives up to +90% when nothing else gives that much of a bonus.. Everything in the game supports low health. It's not like its risk/reward.
after allowing it for so long, it can't be significantly altered without "ruining" the gameplay for the majority of the Playerbase. we few who can't abide the ridiculous imbalance are stuck with it. i'd be fine if Unyielding could only be placed on a single piece of armor. i'm sure it's not feasible, but it would definitely bring Bloodied back down from demi-godhood.
@@morganb6717 There's a ridiculously easy fix. Just cap the effect at +3. That way you can play as you like, for example put it on 3 pieces and run with about 70% HP so each gives +1.

Heavymando! 😁
I'm curious why you don't use Vaccinated under Endurance? Is it not worth the point or is it to save for that point being used somewhere else?
The side effects of diseases are weak and curing them is pretty simple. The biggest impact they have now is they negate thirst quencher and natural resistance perks.
Does Science / Science Expert / Science Master do anything outside of just crafting energy weapons? Wouldn’t it be better to use other Intelligence perks to boost damage and quality of life?
gives damage
It’s useful if you’re using laser/plasma rifles for some extra damage.
Thank you both! I’m going to swap these in for some fun testing.
its so stupid they made heavy gunners so strong
😂
No, it is not
Will you be remaking lazy builds?
yes
my raid team with 4 railway rifles can take down the snake boss in 32 seconds so I think the railway and commando in general is just fine
Let me oil you up
Sneak is for the weak
Broken pay to play modern gaming scam
OMG finally
Ass build, just run gat plas’s with minimum setup and easily do 1k a shot to snake and 1400 on crits to the eye
I’m scratching my head at using a Tesla as the primary weapon for a stealth build. Perhaps the Angry Turtle had a long night and mailed this one in.
Lvl 1050 and just started playing again after a few months break...what in the name of all that is good happened to this game??
It's so bad now, like really bad. Most builds are rubbish, weapons are even more rubbish, the game in general has just gone off a cliff.
Really sad to see that happen to 76.
Uninstalled.
I really don't understand bethesda ..why nurf bloodied commando after running it for 5 years..why do they dictate what build to run..sad
holy crap this build stinks
