Agreed: seeing Bailey in this state is painful. If you go back to the bomb episode, Izzie told everyone that she laughs at funerals: "inappropriate reactions to this kind of stress". I completely get it: the absurdity of the situation is too much.
The paitent in the end: she lost a leg, had a deeply painfaul and traumatic accident, went through monthes of painful and traumatic and frustrating recovery and has many more monthes of painful recovery in front of her. I cant even judge her, not even a little bit. I would have snappped after an hour 😂.
yeah George wasn’t my fav either, i didn’t hate the character but didn’t love him on his own outside of MAGIC and his other relationships but i still cry everytime because of how the grief effects everyone, especially Bailey and Callie.
You described George's impact perfectly. What happened behind the scenes that made the writers reduce George's character to a walk-on? Don't forget that he slept with Nurse Olivia, Meredith, Callie, Izzy, and Lexie wanted him too. That's more women (leading ladies) than Alex and Mark Sloan slept with put together, which was unbelievable in itself, but it happened. All I can say is, when his father was dying, George's acting changed, and if I didn't like it, maybe the show runners didn't like it either.
I'm not surprised considering that was around the time they were in the process of firing the guy who played Dr Burke for making derogatory and homophobic comments against him. That would have been having an effect
