- Blanket weed is a pond weed that many people struggle to control and remove. In this video I show you the simple blanket weed treatment I use to control blanket weed and algae in my pond within a matter of days. The first product is 'Blanket Answer', a pond life friendly product that is applied to the surface of your pond with a watering can. At first your pond water will appear cloudy but when the water clears you will see that the blanket week and pond algae is starting to be controlled. It took about 1 week for this pond weed treatment to completely remove the blanket weed from my pond.
I then decided to use a second product to reduce and clear the pond sludge that had settled in the bottom of my pond. I used 'Sludge Answer' which is a beneficial bacteria that digests the pond sludge to convert it into nutrients that become available to your pond plants. This product did an incredible job of removing the pond sludge and I will continue to reapply this as needed.

Great video thank you. Does the product kill oxygenating weed please? Thank you
That looks a good product
great vid but sound needs a pop shield?
depending on the size of the pond might be worth looking at hydra aqua who sell in much larger quantities and have a wider range have used both companies and now use hydra aqua
Hi Craig, this product makes your pond look amazing! Can you say whether it works on duck weed. My pond is infected with that.
no it's for algae.
@@beanieculley7271 many thanks 😊
How many days did you leave between using the blanket weed to using the sludge answer?
I think it was about 1 week, maybe less. 👍
You’re supposed to use the pond water to mix the powder!
Just gave first dose yesterday....how often should u dose?
As often as it states on the bottle, I can't remember what it was now 🙈🙂
It worked a treat.....this with new uv bulb i got crystal clear water!!....it has left a bit of a white residue ...but no biggie....great advice re this product...cheers buddy
Should have used pond water not tap water but good video
True, but it's not always available 🙂👍
The most important thing is does this product prevents the blank weed from coming back? Pouring some diluted hydrogen peroxide into your pond also cause the blank weed to brown off but they'll come back in a couple of weeks.
Yes it did a really good job, my parents now use it in their large koi pond too 👍
@@GrowParadise It's really good to hear. Thank you.
How much blanket weed killer would I need to kill 4 acres
Contact Hydra aqua they do lake sized quantities and options specially for lakes.
That's the smallest pond I've ever seen....
