      @T West How so? The burden of proof lies with the prosecution. How can every case be a "slam dunk" as you said? Innocent until proven guilty is still the law of the land. That doesn't seem to be the case sometimes, but I digress. I'd like to know your answer.

    Tragically, Jonathan Gruber is correct that the American people do not pay close attention to economic issues.

    • @serbanmike
      @serbanmike 9 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      +Brian Mcmahon Yes, that is correct, but as a Professor at MIT he is lying , which should practically disqualify him to teach the kids Microeconomics.He discredited himself.He helped Obama in this Obamacare Ponzi scheme.

    • @trimanlast
      @trimanlast 9 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      +serbanmike I agree completely with your analysis. Watching this testimony gives a sense of tragic intellectual corruption in universities and the executive branch of the federal government. He acknowledges misleading the public. I expect politically connected people to dissemble and confabulate. What is astonishing is a MIT professor of economics truly believing that central planning/government control of anything let alone healthcare is a good idea. This is the most basic concept of introductory economics. If you will forgive a brief digression I believe the late great William Buckley famously said that there were only two industries that have made no improvement in productivity in the past 50 years: Education and Prostitution.Happy New Year Best

    • @serbanmike
      @serbanmike 9 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      Brian Mcmahon Sad but true your view of dehumanization of some individuals. I was listening to Mr. Gruber arguments and I was perplex when he said that the proposal he presented and the study he did was efficient and was working, nobody ask him if he considered the value of the human life in his equations.
      Mr. Gruber cheated 316 million Americans and he was paid to do this with our tax money.
      We go to war, we invent and develop the most sophisticated machines for killing life, some cost billion of dollars, however we are not able to understand and create anything close to what a live being is.
      Schools should teach kids HOW to learn not WHAT to learn.
      I do think that some things kids learn in schools are based on wrong science.

    "Americans don't care about the uninsured". Not true, but Americans, on the whole, don't want a government plan to take over their insurance and force them to buy a policy they don't want, one that's got a high deductible, higher premiums, and less of what they need in order to help the uninsured.

    To the people that are saying that his comments weren't a big deal... This man was appointed by the Obama administration to assist in the implementation of Obamacare. He was paid with the tax payers' money and after it was all said and done he insulted the same American people that paid his salary and insinuated that the law was only passed because the American people were too stupid to understand what it entailed. Yes, the comments he made were partly true. But that's the point. A few times he slipped up and actually came clean about how the law was passed: under a lack of transparency and a confusing and complicated bill that was passed so we could finally read what's inside it (just ask Nancy Pelosi). The fact is, these comments gave the American people a TRUE insight inside the mind of an Obama appointee and a realization that these people are worthless scumbags that are willing to confuse the American public in order to push their own agendas.

    Mr.Gowdy,What i'm struggling with is that you are sorry because you said it or because you meant it.Watch Mr.Gowdys face when he says "meant it" you can almost feel the anger he is holding back.

    He hits people so hard and matter of factly, it almost seems like a comedy skit where he would come across the country to smack them in the end. The only Thing that would hurt him as a prosecutor is you almost feel sorry for people he lowers the boom on.
