And they broke the record of their own with Lazenca Save Us winning 4 trophies for King of Kings in a row in Immortal Songs 2! Forestella is a quartet of Ko WooRim (classical bass, intense abyss-deep low tone), Kang HyungHo (ex-research chemist & rock vocalist with soprano falsetto voice), Cho MinGyu (classical leggiero tenor, light boyish crystal clear tone) and Bae DooHoon (musical actor, one of the semi-finalists from Voice Korea 2, rough-textured husky tone with R&B, Pop groove). Each has distinct tone and style of singing, different charm. But all of them are famous as practice-freaks. Ko WooRim said they met more than 300 days together in Phantom Singer All Stars behind interview but in a radio program the leader (Cho MinGyu) revealed it would be around 20 days they didn't meet in 2020. They are a team of the best people in their fields. First of all, two people who majored in classical training graduated from Seoul National University's vocal department and graduate school after going to an art high school. Two of them all won the best classical competitions in Korea, which means they have the best skills in classical music. There's something that Cho Mingyu said to Ko Woo-rim in the Phantom Singer competition' We need a new voice because we have similar classical voices. Kang Hyung-ho and Bae Doo-hoon, who have rock and popy vocalizations, were selected by Cho & Ko and became the current Forrestella. They can produce a wide range of sounds, and can perform various genres of music such as rock, musical, pop, as well as classical music. People who are already prepared. I look forward to their performance on the world stage.

That arrangement is phenomenal! Great job at unravelling the thing that most people don't even notice when listening. If you would like to react to someone whose voice transcends all male vocal registers, then I would highly recommend Colm McGuinness's arrangement of "sound of silence". Or if you just want a piece to simply relax to in your own time, his string dominant composition "before the storm" is one of the most hauntingly beautiful compositions I've ever come across.

Amazing harmonies and beautiful voices... Yes, you're right, it is son of the moon (hijo de la luna) from that title, I knew they are singing in Spanish but I was a little bit lost because I wanted to challenge myself if I can understand the lyrics, maybe because of their accent or phrases or maybe a Chinese music influence in them. Filipino seniors can understand Spanish , it is a cumpolsory subjects in school before.

It's remade with lyrics in Korean other than "Hijo de la Luna" and "dime Luna plata dime". Their version doesn't have same story as original. It takes the mysterious and thrilling vive and not telling the cruel part directly. I won't write long historical stuffs to explain all but pls be noted Koreans don't like to be confused with Chinese (or Japanese or any other Asian country).

Yo descubrí a Forestella hace un mes y desde entonces no puedo dejar de escucharlos. Las armonias, sus voces tan diferentes, su interpretacion -que acá no luce en todo su esplendor 😉-, los arreglos... todo hace que su música me llegue al corazon. Tambien amo que canten en distintos idiomas y que, a pesar de ser un grupo crossover, incursionen en distintos estilos musicales.
Tambien tienen temas temas originales (Save our lives y Utopia), tipo opera rock, y los videos son hermosos.
Me encataria que reaccionaras a su version de Bohemian Rhapsody en ingles), de Je suis malade (en frances), Time in a Bottle (ingles), Maldita sea mi suerte (español), Shape of You (inglés, español y zulú), If I leave (coreano), y por supuesto a Save our lives y Utopia.

Yes, you're right, it is son of the moon (hijo de la luna) from that title, I knew they are singing in Spanish but I was a little bit lost because I wanted to challenge myself if I can understand the lyrics, maybe because of their accent or phrases or maybe a Chinese music influence in them. Filipino seniors can understand Spanish , it is a cumpolsory subjects in school before.
Or may be a Korean music influence?
The original song is Spanish as you already know from the title, BUT they arranged this song for a quartet and sang in KOREAN. If you check the comment section of this song, you’ll find how native speakers of Spanish feel about.

It's remade with lyrics in Korean other than "Hijo de la Luna" and "dime Luna plata dime". Their version doesn't have same story as original. It takes the mysterious and thrilling vive and not telling the cruel part directly.
I won't write long historical stuffs to explain all but pls be noted Koreans don't like to be confused with Chinese (or Japanese or any other Asian country).

God bless them voices and thanks to Mecano for making this song a multicultural phenomenon I've listened to this song in German, Korean ,English, (Spanish original version) but my favorite is this one and the one by the Heavy Metal group Stravaganzza .🤟👏 superb.

Yes , the first time I heard them ,well , I was blown away . "Angel" is my favorite song and I first discover in 2011 with Dish had 9000 free and KBS was one of them . Music Bank is when I was introduce to K-POP . Needless to say , "Who is writing all of these great song ? It was a lot of fun and that era is still the Golden Era to me . And onto Immortal Song 2 . I don't want to be "that guy" throwing out the old line "original is the best", but in this special case ... listen to Mecano.
