  • An incredible hike into a very remote part of the least visited designated Wilderness Area in the lower 48: the Apache Kid Wilderness!
    We found amazing forests, streams, cabins and waterfalls! Hope you enjoy! #mountains #explore #hike #outdoors #nature #senderismo #newmexico #wilderness

I accidentally started one of your music videos and played it along with the hiking video. "Low Pass" works great with it!

Beautiful hike! Where was all that water?! I so badly want to come here for a multi-day backpacking trip, but I'm so put off by the lack of water reports, especially with all the recent fires. There are some springs that I've read were reliable that no longer are since the fires. I will be in this area at the end of April to hike West Blue Mountain, but more on the northwest side. I take it this was the southeast side, maybe Indian Creek?
Edit - nevermind, I see you were on the southwest side. I had a hard time finding Holdup Canyon on the map initially. Good to know how much water that area has this time of year with a decent winter!

There's water right now, because there's still snow up in the higher elevations, at least on north facing aspects. I was in Indian creek last week, too, and more water than this time last year. In these mid elevation canyons, it seems like there are many flowing springs.

I think April is the best time. We went up to San Mateo Peak last year I think a little later, and there was a tiny bit of snow up high, and San Mateo spring had a great flow.
