I'm somehow in the top 1200 on the leaderboard just farming the gold/training orb nodes. I went ahead and cored a little more 100x times 4 more to get more campaign energy. So 600 cores a day now from 200. I was coring energy while hoarding last week even and started this event with 8k campaign energy. Currently have 6300 and using about 1440 a day. As the event nears the end I will use it all and hope I still around over 1k leaderboard. If not I'll just slow down and go back to hoarding but only farming the gold orbs if i fall out 1k for the diamond. That diamond means nothing as i F2P and would have a seven red for months. But 75x Crimson Bio gear is helpful and the 50k raid orb fragments is 5 10x openings for G19 gear. That is worth it in my case.
Thanks to grinding Arena meta F2P I had 13k cores saved up without spending money. Only way F2P can win from whales.

I like that at least if things go bad you can still get the unlock...just barely.

It looks fool proof IF you're willing to do the work.
I did get lucky and pull a jackpot orb (29 shards) so I'm sitting pretty. Hopefully everyone is so lucky
