The notes about shadows at the end of the video are particularly educational. Thanks again for your tremendous content!

I personally love seeing the Cimabue, Giotto, and Masaccio all together. Thanks for the kind words.

The reconstruction of the polyptych's known elements is fascinating. The shadows cast by a hypothetical figure to the left of the lower angel is a fine observation.

It is so important to understand these objects as part of a larger whole. Thank you for your comments, they are most appreciated.

Aww, look at dat FAT. lol. 🥰 The grapes are bittersweet, but he's especially precious in this one.
"...and anything more than that, we give up and simply call it a polyptic." 🤣
What an interesting detail the strigil motif was - I wouldn't have appreciated the meaning of that otherwise.

Does anyone else see a fireplace? It angels in the background read flames with their upturned wings. It's the hearth, the most mortal comfort, the mortality of christ, however; Mary sits upon the heart (to represent her absolute mortality), while Christ is elevated on Mary's knee looking immortal almost. Just a thought.

That baby is just as creepy looking to me as the pre renaissance style Jesus babies. He looks like a tiny version of Trump. That just makes him even scarier.
